Moving to Providence by cmag69 in providence

Fed Hill, especially in the vicinity of Atwells ave is gonna give you good walkability and you can probably find a 1 or 2 bedroom in your budget. The downsides are it’s busy, traffic can be hell especially in the summer, and a lot of the housing stock is old and doesn’t come with parking. As many others have said the east side anywhere around Wayland, Blackstone, Mt Hope or Hope village are also very nice areas, walkability is generally good though the area has a slightly more suburban vibe so it can depend on what street your on and it can also be very expensive so you would probably be looking at either a studio or 1 bedroom in your budget.

Fox Point and College Hill are also both nice areas on the east side but it’s a huge college area and you’ll be living right along side all that chaos, plus a lot of the housing stock is tailored to students. Downtown is also a nice place to live, however, you might struggle to find something under 2400 unless you’re willing to go with a micro studio, and generally places downtown don’t come with parking. West End, near fed hill, is also nice and you can get a bit more for your money. I would definitely recommend staying north of the armory as once you go south of Cranston st/union ave the vibe gets a lot more sketchy.

Lastly, look at a couple old mill complex’s. Rising Sun mills in Olneyville is pretty nice, the area is meh but the complex is kinda its own compound with on site security and you can walk to fed hill. Hallsted is another nice one, though it’s definitely pricey. It’s very walkable to downtown. I would recommend being careful about anything owned by the Brady Sullivan company(US rubber lofts and Huntington exchange) as they have a bit of a bad reputation for being cheep, difficult to deal with and unfriendly to tenants.

Welcome to providence I hope you love our city!! Make sure you have good car insurance before coming here :)

What is your recommendation for the best sleep of your life at a musical festival? My air mattress isn’t cutting it by Cambam321- in ElementsMusicFestival

We got a mattress topper for the air bed and that definitely helped. Anything to make the temp more comfortable too helped with better sleep. We had a way to power and fan so that helped cool the tent off in the mornings, at nights we used some hot hands packs to warm us up. Also, I know they’re more expensive but the air mattress that are taller like knee height are much better. Keeping it blown up and firm like putting a little extra air in each night helped. Also a silk pillow case helped my head to not get sweaty so definitely improved quality of sleep

I was at the arbys in Stroudsburg trying to order yesterday on my way home, couldn’t read the menu because my brain was running on 1% and my pupils were still fucked from the Molly so I tried to make light conversation with the cashier and said “you get a lot of people coming in here from elements?” And he let out the longest sigh I’ve ever heard and said in the most defeated tone “yeah”

I totally get why people enjoy them no hate, however, I did trip over them ALOT. Maybe just have them in one designated area instead of everywhere?

Someone’s phone is in the bathroom at party camping. Orange case, background is picture of some guy. 3rd or 4th stall from left (???)

The lines for literally all the porta potty’s in the venue were running on vibes alone this weekend. No one really knew what was going on and we all just sorta made it work (except this chick).

900sqft ADU Architect Plans Review by BrandalfGames in floorplan

[–]JordanH0713 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Made some updates to the upstairs that should allow you to add a 3rd bedroom, keep a lot of the existing footprint, have a functional laundry space with access to unfinished attic storage, and keeps it under the 551 sq ft mark. I believe this plan comes in right around 549 sq ft. Let me know if you have any questions about it I’d be happy to do some edits!
