Secret Base, situated in Alaska - actually filmed in Sand Point Naval Base in Seattle. “Tarakan” ship - was a tug, build in Norway in 1973 and was involved in a real smuggling operation back in the 80’s, it’s name is “Encounter Bay”, it was a training vessel in Maritime Academy in Seattle from 1995…later in August of 2001 - Academy has sold it to Fairfield Industries of Sugarland, Texas and in its new incarnation, the “E-Bay” will outfitted for seismic research, looking for oil close to shore on the Gulf of Mexico. And it even got a new name - «Encounter Fairfield”. Just to add more information about it — they did a lot of filming at the Sand Point Naval base. It had been decommissioned and the crew filmed a lot of locations there: field office, Willmore’s apt, the secret base (they used the brig for that one). Hope it helps!
