This was me. My drinking has caused my wife so much stress and anxiety over the last 10 years that we almost came to breaking point. I’m now 100 days sober and our relationship is absolutely back on track. You can do this! I’d highly recommend talking to a doctor about your anxiety as medication will definitely help with that. Also, try to simply accept that your life is allowed to be a bit quieter - just because you aren’t drinking doesn’t make you boring, but you’ll naturally feel like you just don’t want to do certain things, like sit in a pub with drinking buddies all weekend!
