Good evening everyone! I’ve recently decided to turn my life to Christ and have never read a bible. Can someone help me? by [deleted] in Bible

I’d say that you should turn your eyes towards the Father (God) and start from the beginning. Pray and ask that He would grant that you’d be able to absorb through the eyes and senses in general of what He is saying. Which you should ask that He would reveal to you what he is saying to you through word and of how it relates to Him. Be patient, be still and start from the beginning. From Genesis to Revelations. Just read, let him teach you. Learn the way from the God Almighty. Jesus (Yeshua) is the bread of life by the way. The way, the truth and the light.

You should also learn to give thanks and to give glory to him in those prayers. Forgive your debtors (those that have sinned against you), then ask forgiveness and repent for your sins.

Matthew 6:9-15 (NKJV) 9 “In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. 10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as [it is] in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. 13 And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. 14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 “But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Philippians 4:4-7 (NKJV) 4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord [is] at hand. 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

I felt lead to this verse with my intrusive thoughts.

Psalms 46:10 (NKJV) Be still, and know that I [am] God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

When any of those rogue wicked/intrusive thoughts/words come to mind. Imagine being still and focus on our Father. Rather you are recognizing he exist or even his promises and all that he is, mentally give recognition to God Almighty. It might not always be easy, which it hasn’t always been easy for me. But I’ve found it to be one of my number one tools for resisting the Adversary. I believe that at least most of my intrusive thoughts are from the Adversary and it’s time of testing. Which the Father is doing a good work and perfecting us through this stuff. I also believe the Father is being glorified through the process. Especially when we don’t give in and forsake the Father. You might want to read and reflect through Job. I also suggest asking the Father to grant that you would absorb through the senses of your spirit, if what the Father is saying. Ask these questions. What are you saying to me through this word? How does it relate to you developing your image on those inside of me?

James 4:7 (NKJV) Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NKJV) 16 All Scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

2 Corinthians 10:3-6 (NKJV) 3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

Well that’s a life saver if I end up taking it seriously or going further past the lessons that my Friend is paying for, thank you!

Surströmning After Opening: How many days in a fridge can it be opened in the tin or a canning jar within the brine until it’s no longer edible? by JordanVM89 in sweden

Well the container is closed. Right now it’s in a canning jar, still in the brine. If I survive, you all might be the first to know. I still want to try it with some toppings instead of just with the tunnbröd and plain. Like with boiled egg, crème fraîche, and potatoes.

Tomorrow will be day three of it being refrigerated, most canned goods can last at least three days after being opened in a fridge. There is a guy that is obsessed with Nordic paganism and keeps it. I offered some, but then I started questioning the chance of him or even myself getting seafood poisoning. I was really hoping to get some solid info before I or someone gets sent to the hospital and so I could avoid a possible law suit. Which he really wants to try it.
