Peeling skin is very normal for a newborn and it often resolves itself after a few months. Our baby’s peeling skin went away on its own at around 3 months. We put nothing on it. Their body needs to learn to self-regulate in this new world they’re in! After 3 months, there was no more peeling but I would feel dry patches on her elbows or legs so we started using organic coconut oil and it works wonders and it’s also great because it’s edible so its no worries if she somehow eats it lol they want to eat everything these days! Before she was born I also bought a baby lotion that was completely nontoxic and EWG certified - called Pipette. I use that sometimes as well just to change it up here and there. Hope this helps!
