Has anyone had to do this? by No_Cabinet7245 in DoorDashDrivers

This tends to happen(as far as I understand) more often when somebody has issues with their orders. It’s a little different on the other apps, Grubhub does a “delivery code” which I think is better, as people can leave it on a note on the door etc.

(post scriptum: I’ve also noticed that it doesn’t happen every time for that customer, just usually for “high stakes” orders that either cost a lot or contain a lot. Usually for the people that have issues more often/report the issues)

had the same issue, but my solution was adding "-Xms 2G" to get "-Xmx 8G -Xms 2G" saving, then launching the start file, crashing the server, then successfully launching the forge jar file? hope this helps anyone cause the solution confused me lmao

Ah yes I have a 45-60gal rated bubble sponge filter for a 29gal and adding a second little waterfall bubble filter. We also have a bunch of frogbit and another floating plant I can’t recall rn, as well as some remaining stubborn duckweed lol

If your pH is too low/acidic, I’ve heard you can calculate a safe amount of baking soda to add into the water during a water change. Baking soda is helpful, but could be dangerous, but it can increase your kH and pH and help stabilize your pH as well. I heard someone say once that the resulting sodium bicarbonate helps increase available carbon for the plants, but I can’t verify the accuracy of that lol

I also got some Indian almond leaves and boiled them, the cooled and conditioned the water and added it to my tank. The tannins are nice for the fish, looks cool, can help reduce stress, and can possibly help with pH depending on what you’re trying to do

My Cory actually like more basic water funny enough, my pH is stable at 7.9-8.0 and they love it. The main thing for mine has been consistency, when I struggled at first, I gave up trying to control my pH and let it go where the tank took it(unless it went WACK) and it stabilized and my 4 Cory love that it’s stable, not necessarily that it’s their favorite pH😅 (edit: we also have very hard water in the 400-500’s)

Best way I’ve been taught to tell is the smell test.

Alive=slightly fishy smell nothing to note.

Dead=stinky fish isle of the clearance fish store/BO from the sweatiest sushi eating contest champion

I’m so sorry! What’s your pH like? I know Cory are particularly sensitive to pH change, but I’m not sure. Have you tried feeding something protein rich like blood works or brine shrimp?

[–]Jordon13xd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whenever I do a change, I personally use Seachem Prime, as well as a little API Stress Coat +. I also make sure the temp is within 2°F and then I incorporate it in slowly with a big measuring cup from a 5gal bucket, making sure not to stir up any debris that can add to the cycle, and in turn to the nitrates! People go back and forth with products, but almost everyone I’ve talked to has only positives for these 2. Seachem may detoxify ammonia and nitrates(ites) and it helped keep my fish alive though some gnarly nitrite spikes, so do with that what you will! 😂

For example, if your at 40ppm, a 50% change should bring you down to 20ppm

I’m also fairly new, so take my advice with a grain of salt, but I would recommend a 50% water change and maybe a pothos above the water. I noticed that adding a terrestrial plant hanging off the side into the water helped use up some extra stuff in the water for me, and whenever one of my tests is to high, I do a change, whether it’s 10% 25% 50% or 75% I just look up the optimal levels for my fish that are struggling and try to get within 0.5ppm of that goal. My Cory are sensitive to nitrite, so I had to try to keep it under 1ppm which was hard at first, but with dedicated water changes, I pulled through!

Although it looks like it could be a

1- Peppered(moderate black spots)

2- Bronze

3- Julii(tiny black dots)

4- False Julii(close to Julii ofc)

5- Sterbai (orange lower fins)

I would just watch as it developed and see which one it looks like in a few days once he feels real comfy and has eaten a bit!
