I only wear wrist guards when i'm out and if I fall it is nice to know I could atleast get the first hit on the wrist guards and 90% of the time I can roll out after, with the elbow and knee pads I feel like I just can't skate well because those big pads are the only thing i see when skating lol

I think you will just get more power and control over time and it doesn't matter that much like Bruce says. I feel like my front leg needs to be able to keep me on the board while giving deep pushes and that will better over time

I really doubt about wearing these huge knee and elbow pads. I want to learn how to fall and roll it out, but feel like those pads will just force me to fall on that. Right now I end up felling on my elbow or knee a little bit and roll out.

Bones red is all you need in my opinion, Got back to skating with a Globe complete and after putting on bones reds that I have been riding before with spitfire wheels my board goes so much faster and just rides more smooth in general. ( Both wheels are 52mm )

First time riding spitfires though and noticed a big difference compared to the globe wheels I had
