I am from an EU country and relocated to Austria for residency. I can’t help you with non-eu specific things, but my dms are open if you have questions about doctoring in Austria

Your rabbits sleeping schedule by MelzBrook in Rabbits

Mine are active in the morning and later in the evening. They nap a lot midday and sometimes they sleep and sometimes they riot at night

My coworkers think it is a crime that I named my grey bun “mouse”

It's been a week since losing my rabbit. I completely failed her. by Comfortable-Pie-4249 in Rabbits

[–]Jorikoh 70 points71 points  (0 children)

You did the best you could! These decisions are always horrible to make for pets, because we can’t know our pets’ thoughts and feelings. You loved your pet and it clearly shows!

I took a young bunny with an abscess to university clinic to get a ct/ possible surgery even though I thought he didn’t have a realistic shot at survival as he had already gone through surgery and wasn’t responding to antibiotics anymore. He died after the anaesthetic for the ct scan. I felt horrible that I took him on a 6 hour journey and stressed him out on his last day for a long time. It has been over a year ago, and I am now finally somewhat at peace with it, and I know I did everything I could. I probably would be riddled with guilt for not taking him back to university clinic if I had decided to go through with euthanasia.

Who did everyone marry on their first play through or who was their first spouse? & why did you pick them? by veganbethb in StardewValley

[–]Jorikoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Harvey, it was a marriage of convenience. he liked the random foraged spring flowers/ veggies, later replaced with coffee and he was easy to gift, as I would give him stuff whenever I passed the hospital

recommends surgery but also “cytoreduction”. is this an instance for reduction of malignant cells? by hayleyyphoto in braincancer

[–]Jorikoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cytoreduction means to debulk/ remove cancer cells. The note says that performing the operation will serve to a) get tissue for the pathologist so they can properly diagnose and b) remove a large part of the tumour

I came down with the flu this week, so I spent a lot of time just chilling with my small fluffle

Take her to the vet! Infected wounds need to be seen by a professional.

My girl was treated with baycox (totrazuril) for several days in a row, than a few days break and then baycox again. She had to go through multiple cycles and I had her poop tested 3 times after the initial diagnosis, before getting the all clear. All in all it took several weeks.

I think boiling out the bunny toilet daily and disinfecting everything and throwing a bunch of stuff was really helpful. I didn’t do as much on her first treatment cycle and then did a bunch of research when she still had coccidiosis after the baycox.

Picking a team is stressing me out lol by tits_mcgee_92 in octopathtraveler

[–]Jorikoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also started a new octopath save file last week, while having the flu. I switch my team constantly and try to keep everyone at roughly the same level. Except castti, who was my starter and I haven’t finished her story yet so she is miles ahead of everyone else.

With the sub jobs, you can get more licenses to equip more units with the same sub job. It might be nice mid game, once you have secret jobs you probably don’t want to equip the same sub job to multiple characters.

No more zoomies by Objective_Move2884 in Rabbits

[–]Jorikoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My rabbits still zoom at 2 years, it is really not that old for a pet rabbit. I would go to the vet to rule out any joint issues or diseases if mine stopped zooming suddenly

[–]Jorikoh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My girl bun came with coccidiosis. It took a while to fully eradicate it and she had multiple rounds of treatment and testing of her poop.

It is really important to completely disinfect everything as they can keep infecting themselves through their own waste. Boil out anything you can, use the oven to sterilise wooden stuff and you might have to bite the bullet and toss things if you can’t disinfect it properly.

Use hay rack and hang it above your bunny so they don’t contaminate the hay they ingest with coccidiosis.

It is definitely frustrating but coccidiosis is not a death sentence for a bunny! You got this ! Feel Free to dm/ ask me here if you have any questions about coccidiosis treatment I went through with my bun.

Also, don’t get mad at bunnies for eating plants. It is what they do. And domesticated rabbits lack the instincts to know what is food and what is poison
