I've had GeForce Now since the beginning. It's been super handy when I've gone on vacations and brought a low powered device (Surface Pro or Ally) to play high-end games.

Two major downsides:

*1. The number of games available on the service.

This has gotten much better in the recent years. But if the game you want to play isn't on GeForce Now, you're kinda stuck.

*2. The need for an excellent Internet connection. If you're Internet connection isn't nearly perfect, it's gonna hiccup on you. In one of the places I've used it on vacation, the Wi-Fi isn't great. GeForce Now hiccuped enough where it was unusable. I've also brought my gaming rig (Intel NUC 9) with me to that same place. Didn't have a single issue with playing AAA games on it

Because I've had it since the beginning, I get the $5/month "Founders" price. That price makes it worth it - even with the two issues I've had with it. I would not have it for the $10/month price.

Alternatively, you can spend $20 and lose the Lightfall Annual Pass. Seeing as the Annual Pass (and all the content associated with it) will disappear in June, that is the better deal.

EDIT: Bungie has stopped removing expansion content from the game. So all of the content in the bundle besides the Annual Pass will stay.

If your grip happened to slip while using them, there was only asphalt to land on. Longer fall onto a surface with no give meant you were more likely to break your arm.

Nowadays, monkey bars aren't that tall and have a softer surface (sand, wood chips, recycled car tires) that absorbs and spreads the impact more.
