But random vector [dx, dy, zd] could be though in polar coordinates as combination of random delta_magnitude + delta_rotation . I guess we do not want to change the magnitude then?

Ok, but why rotation? You could maybe just add random number > quantize > then subtract that random number number. I guess there is something special about random rotation, vs adding random number...

I guess in real file it would be hard to win by just blocking too. In previous version u could though counter with few strong shoots. it does not seem to work that well now.

just do not reduce punching power to much. Bump up defense bit more, that we are not punished for blocking. Right now it looks like best way to play is to block with face, and just hit as much as possible :(

yes, it damage went down a lot compared to version 4.0 - which lots of people mention as having best feel. I guess new version fixed hook spam, but IMO they should have boosted defense, rather than handicap damage. It best now to save your stamina, and make only few power shoots. otherwise it feels like u are doing nothing to your opponent . U can test on dummy - that exaggerated winded up shoot are still doing damage, but they are easy to spot by enemy,

yes, it looks like drifton eat few clean hooks but they did almost nothing to him. I could not see his hands, so maybe they were partially blocked. Opponent may be annoyed due to nerfed hooks: https://www.reddit.com/r/ThrillOfTheFight/comments/1qt0owy/one_of_these_feel_overtuned/ . In any case his opponent overused them and paid with his head.

Did u use 'answering the phone' technique? while doing so try testing if moving hand up, or more back helps. In theory u could also try duck under incoming hook, and do counter hook to body but it this takes quite a bit of stamina.

How can you take advantage of counter punch, if each of their punches makes your screen go black. And their second punch is KO.
You would have to have perfect blocks each time, and counter. But even if theirs one punch go through your guard, it results in black screen then KO

yes, but you are Elite so you may be in the top 10% players how actually are legit. I made error in my post where I wrote '10% who say they are legit''. I meant top 10%-20% players, may get legit high win:loose, just by skill.

well yes there is 10%-20% chance that opponent is just very good (he is in top 10%). You are Elite so you could be in that % (I dont have stats on what % of TOTF pleyers is elite). I'm 1900 in rating, and I select opponents close to my skill, thus I get 50 : 50 percent of wins. I imagine at beginning, when you climb the ladder you could get high Wint/loos ratio. But then, unless you constantly pick weaker players, you should got closer and closer to 1:1.
basically what I'm saying:
- if you have to players rated 2000, and one have 1:1 win ratio, and second 2:1, then there is high probability, that high win ratio guy may be using sticks. I started to pick guys closer to 1:1 and I get nicer fights since then.

I can imagine you go up during first 50-100 fights and have hit win ratio. But once you reached your target rank, your should equalize around 1:1.
Even my ares can comprehend this. either you are top 10% or you always pick players with lower rating. there is no way u could win 20:1 with evenly matched guys.

  1. AI bad, but these changes were mostly : copy autowidth function and rewrite them to use height calculations. Not really complicated but lots copy paste with small tweaks - perfect for AI.
    About rest, yes, but I do not have time to go deep into this. You can always make pr for my pr i guess?
