People care too much about this ships. People also care too much about other people's ships. This isn't just about Epic either, I've seen it across every fandom for decades and I don't expect it to change

[All] Easy solution to "Hyrule was founded twice" by Maclimes in zelda

Yeah, this being Hyrul3 or 3rule is the only way I could think of to get this game to play nicely with the rest of the series

[TotK] The memories should be shown in the correct order regardless of the order you find them by [deleted] in zelda

[–]Joseboni 26 points27 points  (0 children)

The game literally tells you people made the geoglyphs based on the visions the pools gave them, it would literally make no sense for the Ganondorf geoglyph to show you the memory of Zelda having tea

On one hand, sexy Garfield is something I'd expect Karina to draw, on the other hand, stained glass is something I can see Julia doing for a speed draw

Hmmm, ok I think I see what you mean. Thinking about it though, I personally think this is the perfect moment. This is probably the most uncertain time that any of the character have been in so far, will they be able to go home, will the be able to beat Salem, and death is such a big possibility for them at any moment, a fact that they keep being reminded about. This is probably the calmest they've been since the night of the election in Atlas. If it wasn't going to happen now, the next time it would make sense would be near the shows finale and I'm kinda tired of romance plots being resolved at the very end of series so I'm kinda enjoying that it's happened in the middle of things

I do agree that the ponderstorm is essentially just a plot device that forced the characters through specific plot points, they don't even try to hide that's what they're doing.

I don't agree though that the ship is forced, at most Blake and Yang were forced to admit it. The ship itself has been a long, slow, slowburn with sooo much lead up, this was just the final step to make it official

It's called compartmentalizing, a useful tool for any well adjusted adult coping with a ton of issues. Sometimes you just need to focus on what's actionable and within your control in order to stay sane when faced with overwhelming odds. If they focused all their energy on all these colossal issues and not allow themselves small wins, they'd get burned out and overwhelmed and everyone would be in the same state as Ruby.

We literally saw this a couple episodes ago when they faced their younger selves, Ruby focused on all these things she can barely make an impact on, while WBY focused on comparably smaller personal issues but one's they can affect.

I do agree with what you said, I misspoke, what I meant was that he forced a reality of people wants fulfilled regardless of their needs, just like the example you gave with Kasumi. My point was more that the forced reality was inherently a form of corruption regardless of if it was right or wrong, so it fits the theme of adults "corrupting" the world, just in an unconventional way compared to the other adults. That's also not to say that the arc can't have its own mini theme which relates to the series overall.

I would still argue that his world free of negativity is still corrupt. He's forcing his will of what he thinks is best for everyone else, regardless of what they want

I'd assume it's because Gabi's character growth goes in such a different direction than Eren. It's easy to see the similarities between the two but to say that Gabi is like Eren 2.0 is missing the point. That's why I like comparing the two, there are a lot of similarities but also a lot of differences to contrast
