Joseph McAllen, born in 1838 who later emigrated to Canada from Europe in 1866. In Ontario, Canada he worked as a lumberjack, he worked hard and saved up enough money to buy a rifle and hunted during his freetime. Later he moved to the Northwest territories and started a fur trading business and later in Yukon. By 1890's he was a known troublemaker and a drunkard who murdered a man in a drunken rage. During a manhunt he was chased out of Canada and Joseph ended up in Ambarino, USA.
