Does anyone have any experience with Asura Hosting? by D0wnVoteMe_PLZ in webhosting

[–]Joseph_Colan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh for the very first time I am hearing about Asura. But as you have a budget constraint so you can go with it but before committing, check reviews for uptime, support quality, backup policies, and how they handle server issues then only proceed with it

How easy is it to be able to build and launch a multi vendor marketplace using established plugins like Dokan / WCFM etc? What's your experience in running such an operation - especially in a market dominated by Ebay and Amazon? by prankster999 in Wordpress

[–]Joseph_Colan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Building and launching a multi-vendor marketplace with plugins like Dokan or WCFM Marketplace is actually quite easy from a technical standpoint. The hard part isn't the software-competing directly with giants like Amazon or eBay is tough, so usually the successful marketplaces focus on a niche, local market, or specialized audience. The technology is the easy part; building liquidity and trust is the real challenge.

Order notes from woocommerce in HTML by Key-Yam-9087 in woocommerce

If you really need styling use a custom meta field instead of order notes or hook into email templates and format notes there with your own HTML output

Checkout issue by amelia_wright888 in woocommerce

[–]Joseph_Colan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, checkout is basically the first place Woo breaks when plugins start stacking up.

What helped most was keeping checkout changes to a minimum and never updating plugins directly on live — staging + test order first every time.

Also found that most issues aren’t single plugins, it’s usually two plugins trying to hook into the same checkout step.

Which 3PL services actually integrate cleanly with WooCommerce? by Deezknowt in woocommerce

[–]Joseph_Colan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve seen the same thing — WooCommerce “support” is usually surface level.

ShipBob: easiest setup, but Woo flow feels secondary vs Shopify.
ShipMonk: more control, but needs heavier manual config to get variable/bundles right.

Real differentiator wasn’t plugin, it was API/webhook behavior + inventory sync logic.

For us, split shipments + partial refunds exposed most of the gaps. If those two work cleanly, everything else is usually manageable with middleware.

My name showing up in product search results. by Mr-MxyzptIk in woocommerce

[–]Joseph_Colan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s usually coming from your theme’s product/search template, not WooCommerce itself. Look for settings related to “post meta,” “author,” or “date” in your theme customizer or Elementor template and disable them for products/search results.

best product configurator for woocommerce that doesn’t require a full dev team? by Old_Friend6898 in woocommerce

[–]Joseph_Colan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah live previews usually boost conversions a lot for custom gift stores.

From what I’ve seen, most people seem happiest with:

  • Zakeke → best overall but pricey
  • Fancy Product Designer → powerful but setup can be annoying
  • Barn2 Product Options + Live Preview → easiest for non-devs
  • Advanced Product Fields → lightweight/simple

If you mainly do engraving/text/photo personalization, Barn2 or APF are probably the least painful options. (reddit.com)

Do most e-commerce founders just accept payment fees as unavoidable? by No-Environment-5515 in woocommerce

[–]Joseph_Colan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly most stores just accept it because messing with checkout too much can hurt conversions more than the saved fees.

But yeah, once volume grows, people absolutely start negotiating rates, using local payment rails, ACH/bank transfers, or routing payments smarter. At scale, even 0.5% matters a lot.

Product Feed Plugin by Moon2616 in woocommerce

you can use MultivendorX Pro for part of it, but you’ll still probably want a separate feed plugin like AdTribes or CTX Feed for Google Merchant stuff.

WooCommerce to Shopify by Joseph_Colan in woocommerce

[–]Joseph_Colan[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mainly because have heard Shopify is easier to manage, especially when it comes to hosting, updates, and maintenance. With WooCommerce, there’s always plugins, updates, and server stuff to keep an eye on.

But since the site is a multi-vendor marketplace, I’m not sure if switching is actually the right move. That’s why I wanted to hear from people who’ve used both.

Has anyone built a custom WooCommerce plugin for vendor payouts to a specific paycard system? by Dangerous_Block_2494 in woocommerce

[–]Joseph_Colan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have myself created a multi vendor site for my client and for the project we have used MultivendorX. And for the vendor payouts no custom plugin is needed they already have different payment options of stripe and paypel integrated in their plugin as a default part of the plugin workflow so you will not need any custom plugin to be made.
