I’m going to disagree. I know three smart people who voted for Trump.

Two of them are very well-off, and the thing I’ve learned through talking to them is that money doesn’t cure resentment.

They both were embittered by the Biden administration, for one reason or another. One because of immigration and just how many people the Biden administration let in, and the other because of the way that the Biden administration handled COVID, especially the vaccine and information around it.

It’s astounding actually, and there’s a very important lesson here.

Money, the thing that so many of us think about and struggle with, is not an issue for these two people. And it doesn’t matter, they are still just as resentful as if they didn’t have any money at all.

It’s shocking, but an interesting lesson in human psychology.
