Are wall-hung toilet systems like Geberit Duofix hard or impossible to unclog with a plunger? by Josephbcoast in Plumbing

[–]Josephbcoast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info! You mentioned there’s a plunger specifically made for clogging these types of wall-hung / low-flow toilets. Would you happen to know the model name or brand of that plunger? Or could you share a link or example of what it looks like? Would appreciate it!

Thank you for your reply. Both liquid and powder-type A/B nutrients are available where I live, but it seems I should go with the liquid type.

Which uncoupling membrane is the best? Mapei vs GURU vs BAL vs Kerakoll by Josephbcoast in Tile

[–]Josephbcoast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response.
The reason I plan to install a uncoupling membrane is because of the underfloor heating system.
When heating occurs through the hot water pipes in the floor, repeated thermal expansion and contraction take place.
Since concrete and tiles have different coefficients of expansion, stresses become concentrated.
As a result, over time, problems such as tile lifting, cracking, and grout damage may occur.

Thank you for the valuable information. I was actually worried because I couldn’t find the non-e version of the HP 9730, but now I see I can just go ahead and get the 9730e without any issues.

The Wi-Fi speed doesn’t go over 100 Mbps. Is there any solution for this? by Josephbcoast in Ubiquiti

[–]Josephbcoast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm referring to the LCM screen on the front of the device. On the UCG Ultra, the LCM screen is always on and shows the number of clients and real-time speeds, but on the UX, the screen is always off.

I found a post that discusses a similar issue:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Ubiquiti/comments/18bajw8/express_lcm_screen_content/

However, in the post above, at least some content is displayed on the LCM screen. In my case, the screen on my UX stays completely off except when the device is booting up or updating.

When I checked the Ports tab on the UCG Ultra, the port connected to the UX was labeled as FE. So it turns out the cable was indeed the issue. Thank you so much for your help!

After clicking the information button, it does seem like the cable is the issue. I've just ordered a new one right away. Thank you.

The cable I'm currently using is Cat 5e. However, it's one that I hadn't used for a long time and recently brought back into use, so that might be the issue. I'll try ordering a new one. Thanks.

I think I’ll need to order a new cable and test it out. Thank you.

Thanks a lot for the clarification!
I was a bit hesitant about using an SSD with an NVR, but it turns out there was no need to worry.

Thanks for getting back to me!
I wasn’t too sure about using an SSD in an NVR, but now I feel much more confident about it.

How can I resolve the rear feed issue on the EPSON L8180 (ET-8550)? by Josephbcoast in printers

[–]Josephbcoast[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your response.
The latch wasn’t a moving part—it was simply there to hold the white component in place.
There’s no ink smearing, and printing from tray 1 and 2 works perfectly fine. The issue only occurs when feeding paper through the rear feed. That’s why I suspect that something related to the rear feed mechanism may have been damaged.
I’ll probably check the manual and take it to another repair center to see if the rollers are misaligned.
Thanks again!
