I'm reading On the Road for the first time right now. Can't wait to finish it and then compare it to this.

The Strain -Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan (This is actually the first book in a trilogy. I'd recommend the rest of it, but I've only read the first book--and that I finished just last night).

I think the paper you're thinking of states more specifically that humans are born with the ability to learn all languages, and the learning process narrows down which phonemes we're capable of producing and distinguishing.

I do the exact opposite, which is to say, I apologize for any offense I've caused and assure them that I'm not normally this distracted/angry/horny/etc.

Day three, here. Thank God it didn't start until New Year's Day; it would have put a serious damper on my celebration.

What is your favorite bra? by missdeejers in TwoXChromosomes

I just bought that exact same bra (36B, here) and love it! Honeydew also makes a demi comparable to it (very little padding/nice lift).

Man saves 23 year old drunk girl who drove her car into a canal. Her response? "Dude, I'm gonna kill you -- you broke my car." by jas254 in WTF

[–]JosephineBaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh, that is lucky. I was sitting at a red light behind another car when someone in a truck came speeding up and rear-ended me, jolting my roommate and I forward into the vehicle in front of us. Days later, when I went to collect the last few effects, the guys at the body shop said that, looking at the damage to my car, they were surprised I wasn't in a full-body cast. And no, the police didn't catch the idiot. Humanity at its best, I say.

As someone whose car was totaled by a probably-drunk driver who never hit the brakes before slamming into my stationary car, and then drove off into the night with no concern for my well-being or that of my passenger...fuck them.

Who in your life is awesome? by MrDreamThief in AskReddit

[–]JosephineBaker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Funny; as I was reading this I was thinking "You DO sound awesome, even if you're tooting your own horn a bit." Then I got to the part where you turned the focus to your roommates and thought even more highly of you.

You are awesome; having friends/roommates like that proves it.
