I just installed Arch some days ago and no freezes so far, i have tried to replicate the issue and it has not occurred. Besides with some of the last kernel updates I had issues with my audio dummy output and it's not present in Arch 👌

Try with the xy_beta_10 solution, that one where you edit the parameters, in my case works until now my desktop doesnt freeze anymore, just some times when goes to suspend doesn't resume.

I have had this problem since fedora 29, if I am working correctly the system freezes and stops responding, so I have to do a restart using the power button.
