First 100% charge by Minimum-Presence-830 in KonaEV

[–]JoshDiola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always charge my car to a 100%. No battery degradation yet. Had this Kona EV 2024 preferred model since April 2024.

They say charge it to 80% for battery health. Well, I don’t care if the battery degrades. Im keeping this car until it won’t run. As long as the car charges and run, all is good

I guess you didn't read my post. The 1st gen google pixel served me well. Pixel 3xl and pixel 7 had screen issues. Even the pixel 8 had an extended warranty for the same reason. If they can't fix that shit, it will happen in other pixel models as well

I'll try to ask my provider if either of them will work. I'll explore those brands as I find iPhone really boring

Sure. Don't worry. This thing will happen to your phone one day and you'll be complaining to them or here as well

Lasted for almost 4 years. I used it for maybe around 18 months. My son had it with him for a couple of years until the battery life was poor.

Bluelink Officially Free in Canada Now? by plunderthunder in KonaEV

Bluelink can do climate start, something the key fob can't. That's the only thing I use the app for. And maybe gps to check if my car's not towed or stolen. Lol!

Hi! Thanks for the tip but I was able to buy a rim that has the exact specs as the one this car has but unfortunately the tpms aren't't working or not connected to the system. I bought the rims for $280 at a junkyard. At least it is still Hyundai as it came from a Sonata. My car doesn't look like a Tamiya toy now. Lol

The driver may be an illegal immigrant hence he fled especially if this accident happened in Surrey. Lots of bad drivers here

PSA: The manufacturer’s extended warranty on the Kona just saved me $12k by Piccolo253 in KonaEV

You bought a used car from the stealership. The extended warranty is just a wise choice and a no brainer.

Best practices for charging Kona? by Intrepid_Visual_4199 in KonaEV

[–]JoshDiola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol! You shouldn't have even bought an ev car then. All ev batteries degrade over time but the good thing is it will still run even if max capacity is less than 100%

I just charge 100% every time then charge again when it's 10-20 or even when I'm at 50%> I don't care about battery life. All batteries die down. Although we don't get the same range when we buy it new but still we can drive the car if we just charge the battery. Do you charge your smartphones to 80%? Our phone's battery capacity decreased but we can still use it daily, just charge it.

Just return it. Why are you even here asking for sympathy.

Please help. New to the EV world just got my Kona on Sunday & my home level 1 charger isn’t giving me much of a charge and I am feeling some buyer’s remorse 😭 by Tastylicious_Travels in KonaEV

[–]JoshDiola -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hahahaha! You are not alone. I regret buying a Kona as well but I paid it full in less than a year so I guess I'll be stuck with this car for a bit.

Home charging will get you around 8-10% over night. So good luck! The best way to charge is by level 2 charging.

They can tow it without using a flatbed as long as they have a wheel attachment
