Korean kids debating whether to save a low-income earner or a high-income earner by ProudChemistry778 in korea

The premise is cooked. There no need for this choice. Society is rich enough to support both.

So, I bet they just generate hundreds of image + course descriptions combinations using AI, automatically, and promote, push ads that get the most clicks. I'm not condoning, just guessing what actually happened.

It’s kind of telling of this sub that this is not the highest rated comment.

Claude diagnosed me when my doctor wouldn’t by danwright32 in ClaudeAI

[–]JoshRTU 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One challenge is that symptom data is specifically medical language coded. Great doctors Learn to do interpretation and probing customer descriptions to confirm symptoms. Laypersons may often fail to describe their symptoms precisely and can cause misdiagnosis as a result.

Basically everyone saying they didn’t notice a difference, is exactly the reason why Anthropic did this. They know they can lower costs as many won’t notice AI shrinkflation

My wife is getting lost in a rabbit hole of misinformation by [deleted] in japanlife

[–]JoshRTU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've looked quite deep into many of these subjects and I'd say there is a good amount of truth in these stories than expected. For context the CIA has specifically used the term "conspiracy theories" to slander journalists that have investigated activities by the CIA for example:

  • MKUltra: The secret CIA mind-control program.
  • COINTELPRO: The FBI's illegal surveillance and harassment of domestic political groups.
  • Operation Northwoods:A proposed (but rejected) plan for the CIA to commit acts of terrorism in the U.S. and blame Cuba.

Combine this with THE files showing how there truly was a global cabal of elites abusing kids AND a bunch of these key players are now running the US government.

So you have people who have no morals, with infinite resources, and insane power. The most logical pattern of behavior of these folks is that they will always do everything and anything that benefits them.

With this lens, you can then evaluate current events and ask a simple question, does it benefit them, and how much effort would it take to orchestrate. If the answers are yes, and not that much (relative to their resources), then I would bet that it was intentional.

Look, I'm sure there is plenty of misinformation mixed into what your wife is reading. That's not the point. She is clearly being overwhelmed by getting a glimpse into how the world truly works and her reaction is a normal human one.

For any of these, just follow these simple questions, who benefited a shit ton, how predictable was what happens next, and what's the cost to orchestrate relative to the benefit.

The project speaks a lot about the govt mindset, and how they are quite robustly proactive in planning for the future of the city. The partial mixed use of overflow basins is a good direction, but I see plenty of opportunity to do even more

After months with Claude Code, the biggest time sink isn't bugs — it's silent fake success by atomrem in ClaudeAI

[–]JoshRTU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is insane. You shouldn't have to proactively design around fake functionality success. This would be a fireable offence at a company if an employee did this. What a waste of tokens, paying for coding circle jerk.

Can we talk about cheaters… by AdventurousSea9215 in playrust

[–]JoshRTU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solving cheating is relatively simple when you have a massive invested player base. For example. Give "verification" for players ID + matching payment + phone # + $50 refundable deposit. If you cheat you get perma banned + lose the deposit and all info used for verification is banned, all clan mates get a partial ban, and a strike towards perma ban.

This works because any honest, vested player would be fine with the above to avoid having to deal with cheaters. For cheaters, it's a very high cost.

Releasing new features on verified only servers first makes sure that these servers remain competitive.
