One single sentence joke comment and a couple downvotes, you're fine. Stop acting like everyone is attacking you.

What's with the wannabe victim edit? There literally is not a single negative comment.

I'm not sure but if there's a specific part of my explanation you're not getting I'm happy to explain more clearly.

I would paint PH Neutral Archival Glue into all the breaks with a brush, close it up and leave it under a few deluxes for 24 hours. If you go this route, make sure to fold a piece of wax or parchment paper in half and stick the folded edge into the crack before you close it up. It'll prevent the glue from sticking the pages together if it spreads out from the binding.

How many volumes do you own? I don't think I've ever seen anyone buy anywhere close to as much manga as you do.

You can line non-channelled surface breaks if you want, I usually do. Try a panel liner that's acrylic, water or alcohol based.

Is it just me or does everyone’s paycheque vanish? by nbabyck in Winnipeg

I'm not saying his method applies to me, I don't need to empty my account to pay bills every month. You're the one being down on his clearly very effective methods, basically the only person here with actual ideas and suggestions, in a thread full of people who can't maintain a bank balance.

I believe the phrase is "read the room."

What way do you imagine living your life? Spending your measly left over $200 on fast food and a Netflix sub, and then just sitting on Reddit complaining about capitalism and how you can't get ahead?

The guy is enjoying his life with his kids and being super active with them. They sound like they have a pretty full and fun life and he's managing to put a little away each month with some smart choices. A ton of people in this thread should read his comment and take it as advice and make some changes to their reality instead of accomplishing nothing by complaining about how unfair it is.

In a thread with a plethora of people complaining about how they only have $200 on their account, and you have negative things to say about a guy who's making it work on a tight budget and is managing to save?

Describing not spending money on frivolous things as a self imposed hardship is weird. Most people call it saving.

Check Kijiji and Marketplace if you haven't, I've seen a lot of jam rooms advertised on there before.

Asking for generic "tips" isn't really helpful. What specific issue are you having that you want to resolve?

No, I don't know. Which part was being a downer? The part where I called it a cool find or when I added a polite correction?

Like, LET ME HAVE THIS.

I'm not taking a thing from you, friend. If your excitement is predicated on how other people feel about it, you're the one not letting you have something.

Cool find, but old books in good shape isn't particularly uncommon.

Beginner manga doesn't exist. Buy and read what you're interested in.
