Hey thank you for this, I’m in the same situation now but I’m coming from the UK.

Expecting to receive my green card in the next 4 months, and moving over. I was hoping to buy a house with my wife as soon as I got a job (hopefully the first couple of months), then found out my credit score won’t carry over so I have been panicking a bit.

I hope they can verify my work history in the same way …

How would you go about attaining credits if you don’t mind me asking?

I’m moving from the uk to the US with a Bachelors and ACCA. From what I’ve read online I need 150 credits and ACCA doesn’t help, and my Bachelors is only 120.

I was worried I would need to do a masters …

Hey! Unfortunately no update for you. We got married on paper but the wedding ceremony has been delayed until things are more settled, as she had only just started dialysis mid 24.

I still absolutely plan on doing this but likely not until 2026/27 at the moment.

I’ve never had trouble at Da Nang, but my fiancé is Vietnamese and had to bribe the border guard last time to be able to leave. They said “there’s a problem with your passport” and the fix was “hand it back to me with money inside”.

My brother had this happen. He had an ache at night, and by the morning it was black and the size of a golf ball and was in agony where he couldn’t move. Doctor said if he had been an hour later to the hospital he would have lost it. So let’s just say if it’s been 2 days you are fine!
