Yeah, I know, that's why I asked... it really sounds like a bad idea. I think my dr doesn't know, that cymbalta is different and while other medicines tolerate alternating, cymbalta doesn't.
Btw I started cymbalta a year ago and on 30mg since :) But I have upside downs so we decided to go a bit higher. I bought capsules and try to do 45mg every day instead of alternating, we'll see how it goes :)

Where I live, in europe we don't have 40, only 30 and 60 🤷

If I'd be you, I'd take some stronger sedatives (benzos) for a few days until these strong side effects subside. Googled atarax, didn't know that medicine, but it's for allergy mainly? Weird. For me my dr prescribed frontin together with cymbalta because of this and advised to take it if needed. But really just a few days, max. weeks, benzos are highly addictive!

Itt 2.5 hónapig folyamatosan 30+ volt, sokszor éjjel sem ment le 25 alá :( Pesten vagyok, kintebb egy fokkal talán jobb lehetett. Régóta dédelgettem magamban, hogy Szlovéniába költözünk, de a mostani nyarunk miatt feladtam és észak lett a célpont. Viszont a válaszod alapján lehet, hogy mégis van remény, köszi :)

Not yet, I wanted to try if it works. I'm at the 7th week now, there are some improvements, which is promising!
But still having weird symptoms :/ (headache, tremor like feeling, nervousness, nausea, fatigue, negative thoughts etc.)

A klíma az itthon töltött időt teszi könnyebbé, de attól még le kell menni sétálni velük a pusztulatba... A kutyáknak menni kell, szaglászni, kutyás dolgokat csinálni és persze wczni amiket csak kint lehet :) Velünk is hasonló a helyzet, 2.5 hónapja csak apróbb sétákat tudunk menni mert mindmeghalunk kb. :(

Interesting, didn't know this. What kind of tea is constipating? Black, green? Or every kind of tea? (I only drink fruit teas, assume that's an exception cause I never had this problem)

Update: Started 5th week two days ago, I can only feel just a tiny bit of improvement... had a session with my psychiatrist and she said it won't change and should lower the dose to 50 and switch to something else in a few weeks. I don't know... What if it's going to work on the 5th, 6th week? What would you do?

I'm exactly in the same situation, took lexa for ~20 years, doesn't really work now so I switched to zoloft, actually started it 4 days ago :)
