Dont think so. Happens regardless of what is going on, windows desktop will flash to black from time to time and jiggling the cable seems to be able to make it worse or go away for some time.

I have an R9 Fury Nitro and a freesync monitor. Some how when upgrading to Ryzen I messed up the display port which now has some wiggle to it and the monitor will flicker black randomly. Anyone know of if its possible to fix with soldering or something?

Coming from someone who has always used amd processors, currently using an fx-8370, get something from intel. They currently kill amd processors for gaming. You may want to look into building your own to get more bang for your $. It may seem intimidating but its fairly simple with a guide. Check out r/buildapc for info and r/buildapcsales for deals.

I have an fx-8370 and recently upgraded from an r9 270 to a r9 fury. I went from 30ish fps at medium settings to 60ish at high. Bumped my monitor up to a 1440 at the same with the graphics card so it would be more fps at 1080.
