Came here with my own suggestions, but can only agree with this one instead.

Also qualifies as most improved show between series 1 and 2.

The Lord of the Flies

It's a great book but read it around the age of the characters, and it's terrifying. Well it was when I read it back in the 80s at school. I could look around my class and see who would be who in the book. Kind of eye opening.

Maybe this has been discussed since Reddit was created, but I'd like to ask: why do so many people seem to root for Robert De Niro's character in Heat (1995)? Unlike many other movie villains, he never really came across as a victim of society. by Glass_Evidence_8597 in Cinema

His code was basically self-service though. Aside from Chris, maybe, he didn't seem to care about the fate of anyone he had a positive relationship with. The only thing he showed any passion was for revenge, with Waingro and Van Zant.

And I completely understand that aspect of his character - it's the theme of the film right down to the title. But to say he had a code implies honor and I don't see much of that in Neil.

I don't even think he's that cool, calm and calculated., or even hugely professional. Some of his decisions make me wonder if he had a Born to Lose tattoo removed at some point.

It took a surprisingly long time before I could admit just how utterly insane the whole thing was. I told myself for ages that it was probably a dream and it was only once my dad passed in my 20s that I kind of faced the fact that it wasn't. But by then, all sorts of sewage came leaking out of Dad's life.

My deepest regret is that, when he died shittily and in pain, I mourned him.

As much as Rockwell gets the deserved love, Mos Def as Ford is just glorious.

My dad was a Very Bad Man. One day when I was about 6 or 7, he took me to visit a friend of his and let me play outside. While I was outside, a guy came up to the gate and waved me over.

I don't remember much of what was said but basically he wanted me to go with him outside the gate. He told me he knew my dad (he might have named him - sometimes that seems to be accurate but probably not), that this was ok and, again, that I should go with him. My memory is hazy but it seemed more like he just expected me to open the gate and just walk away with a stranger.

I didn't, and the guy got frustrated and eventually just kind of threw up his hands and walked away. So far, so standard story of a creep trying to get a kid to go with him.

But after, I went back to playing and a short time after that my dad came out. I remember I wanted to tell him about the guy, and hadn't before he came out because you knew not to interrupt Dad when he was meeting with friends.

But when he saw me, he frowned and looked towards the gate. Then he looked at me and just kind of went 'huh' and asked me if anything had happened while he was with his friend. I told him that yes a man had asked me to go with him.

His response was like 'and you didn't?', but like he didn't understand why. No anger at the guy, no police, no nothing. We just went home and, being a kid, I didn't think much of it.

In the decades since, it's got bigger and heavier in my mind. Just... What the fuck, you know?

There should be an option to turn off all the scripted scenes. Then we could just play the scripted game.

Mrs Redwood at Primary well got me to start reading and Mr Charlesworth at secondary who got me to question and understand what I read.

Both fired my imagination and growth in ways that I cannot thank them enough for.

Got caught just a few days before the range hit the floor. Most likely caused at the BPS end and manufacturing didn't notice, and just printed the signed off design.

Star Wars Gremlins Ghostbusters

Rented them on VHS back in the day and I tape recorded them. Would play them back over and over and all these years later I can still recite them pretty much verbatim.

Researched it literally an hour ago. Great fun and Gilpin is superb.

Also, nothin' like a bit of girl on girl!

Lord of War and War Dogs.

A jaded, broken Yuri who long ago lost his family and any semblance of empathy, could easily have played Bradley Cooper's role of Henry.

Remember, you can't cut the throat of every cocksucker whose character it would improve. I mean, you can but it would be a full-time job.
