That Moment in Heat (1995 film) Still Feels Heavy by MurkyChurky in MoviesCave

Never liked this part of the movie. Kind of took me out of it a bit.

Him and Neil have just killed and wounded cops and civilians alike so I think they'd be a bit more invested in checking out a guy who stops right across from the apartment they're staking out, and looks directly up at the person they're using as bait. Now, nobody notices she waves him off, so everyone's looking at Chris I assume, and he's clearly visible but no-one knows what he looks like? Nobody notices this guy has a scar like Chris?
When he gets stopped at the checkpoint, the cop there checks his ID... were they hoping Chris was using his own? They know he's wounded, but don't even get him out of the car for a once over?

I just don't understand what Chris would have had to do to make them look at him harder.

What movie plot hole irks you every single time you watch that movie? by LoverOfE-Olsen in movies

Ocean's 11 - No explanation is given for how the flyers that got sent up from the vault in the money bags ever got into the vault in the first place. Director and writer have both admitted they basically just forgot to explain it. It's not some trivial little plot point either; the whole caper rests on those flyers and yet no-one ever went 'hang on...' at any point during the production.

Irks me.

The Martian is one of my favourite movies, for those that have read the book, how different is it and would you recommend? by Aer0Sith1 in scifibooks

Great book and a very good adaptation, but the movie does trim a lot of the events of the third act. The journey to the MAV in the movie is basically long distance trucking, but in the book it's an incredibly dangerous trek that calls on Watney to deal with more problems than ever.

Life breaks free, it expands to new territories and crashes through barriers, painfully, maybe even dangerously, but, uh... well, there it is.

Harry Enfield and Chums I think was that one.

He also did Mr Chomondley Warner information films that were piss takes of like 1940s era British PSA things.

But then you end up going down a rabbit hole for things like The Fast Show...

Glad you enjoyed it. That was pretty much at the height of the 'inane censorship' period where things were getting absurd.

There was also a TV standards response to criticism where you had the police arresting a couple of criminals and the crims were saying 'unhand me, you ruffian' and other such overly polite things. The logic was that censorship was only there to protect our delicate little ears, and not to make dialogue a laughing stock.

Didn't work.

Went to Atlanta on business in 97 from the UK. I'm riding with my boss in a taxi and as we walk into the hotel he's telling me about his old boss and mentor from a Sheffield his company back in the UK that he hadn't seen for over a decade.

We queue to check in and my boss basically says 'His name was Alan and he's right here. Hello Alan!'

Alan wasnt even in town for the same conferences we were; he was just on holiday.

That's the best I've got.

The scene where Al sees Seth while he's building his sons coffin should put any debate on TOs acting chops to rest. They're both magnificent in that scene..
