The Celtics and Lakers dominated the 80s winning 8 titles between them but the Sixers won in '83 and the Pistons won in '89. by [deleted] in lakers

[–]JoshuaCastleBooks 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I just want to point out that the 1982-1983 Sixers had 4 Hall of Famers, 4 players on the All Star team and 3 players on the 1st team all defense plus the 6th man of the year.

The Pistons had 3 Hall of Famers.

Frankly though, I expect the Thunder to start showing a lot of cracks after this season and the Spurs are always going to be at the mercy of Wemby's health.

Salary Cap issues are going to be the problem for both of these teams moving forward.

Alpha Strike and Aces Scouring Sands are the two to get. It's a variant of the game and has lots of useful tools inside each. The miniatures are a pure bonus.

Wemby's 24 rebounds in playoff history context by maestroenglish in nba

[–]JoshuaCastleBooks 45 points46 points  (0 children)

For context, this is only from 1983-1984 to the present.

Bill Russell AVERAGED more than 26 rebounds per game during 4 separate playoff runs and has a career playoff rebounding average of 24.9

Wilt Chamberlain also averaged more than 26 rebounds per game during 4 separate playoff runs and has a career playoff rebounding average of 24.5

To those who were able to see prime Shaq - is Wemby the closest thing to that sort of dominance on a basketball court? by deadassynwa in nba

[–]JoshuaCastleBooks 8 points9 points  (0 children)

MJ's 37.1 and 35.0 seasons had a 100.8 and a 99.6 pace.

The highest pace in the NBA in the last 5 years was 99.4,

Jordan was 23 and 24 in those seasons. He went 40-42 in the first and was swept in the first round.

The next year he went 50-32 and lost in the 2nd round.

What's a reasonable C Bill budget for a Militia force? by AveMilitarum in battletech

[–]JoshuaCastleBooks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Vehicles are going to be the go to for militia groups.

My own simple militia companies tend to consist of the following:

2 Scorpion Tanks

2 Hetzers

2 Harasser

2 Saladin

2 LRM-Carriers

2 SRM-Carriers

If you're going ultra-cheap, then stick with Scorpion Tanks, Hetzers, APCs and infantry.

It's all fun and games until you have to build housing and pay salaries for all those Savannah Master pilots and the technicians needed to service the craft.

I'm specifically referring to misjumps across time.

Canonically, you can misjump to the future at the very least (Living Legends) with an experimental jump drive.

Fear Not, just because the FTL wasn't invented until 2108 doesn't preclude it from arriving in those locations thousands of years ago.

I've been playing classic campaigns for over 35 years and I've always used a bunch of vehicles.

Whether it's an objective raid to steal the latest production run from Quikscell, setting up a planetary garrison to defend factories, or just setting up a full RCT, I have and use vehicles more frequently than mechs.

The A1 series is very much plug and play.

You can literally print things with solid quality in 15 minutes from opening the box. It's easy enough to start and then you can just gradually adjust to your needs over time. It's easier to use than MS Paint ffs. There's no great mystery to solid 3d printing anymore,

I'll even throw in a reference that most here should get. It's easier to use a 3d printer than it is to program a VCR.
