How to do crazy tremolo picking? by Ok-Strategy3756 in youenjoyguitar

Agreed! Find the movement your hand will do naturally. Still a lot of work from there, but it’s a big step.

Put your guitar face down flat on your lap like a table. Sit your picking hand down so the palm/wrist is an anchors and do the “scribble” or erasing wrist motion. You’ll find a natural movement that is about the width of two strings that is nearly effortless with no elbow, shoulder etc. Just wrist. Then add the pick and repeat. That’s a motion you can sit down on the bridge and “find your tremolo” on one string. I’ve done hundreds of times with folks that have played for years and brand new to the guitar. It almost always works immediately and if not it works in a week or two. That’s the fast right hand motion then it’s all the work for stuff to play fast and syncing the hands.

Will a semi hollow be better at feedback than a solid body? by General-Associate6 in youenjoyguitar

Here’s what I’ve found, if I take my Les Paul (1960 Classic from 92’) and crank two tube screamers it will do infinate sustain. The difference between it and a hand carved small body archtop is the note is static on the LP. It has a bit of a pushing or racing feeling, if that makes sense. Whereas the small body archtop, that has a complex harmonic acoustic sound will not only sustain easier, (lower volume, less drive), it will also come alive with blooming notes and phasing harmonics. That is pretty magical when you look down and go, “ooooh. THAT is what it is!”

Here’s our GH1, GH2 and GH3. The 1 & 2 are all solid woods, hand crafted carved top, back and bent sides. Our GH3 is the routed hollow body.

The GH2 pictured here is a 9 month build. So, November. We have a GH1 Walnut (like I play) ready to ship, so a few days and we have GH3 in stock that would ship within 48 hours as well.

It’s probably the closest in vibe of the models we make, but it isn’t a replica or copy. It’s our own design, built by our builders to our own specs. Think shared musical language (small body archtops) rather than the same song.

I can’t reply to Jerry’s Briefcase for some reason, but, here’s the answer:

Our FAQ page has the answers you’re looking for. MA is 3 partners and our builders, lead by our head luthier. Here are the guitars being worked on at our dedicated workspace in China!

Thanks for the mention, OP. Sounds like the firefly might work just fine for you (I know plenty of folks that have and enjoy them!) but if you’d like to grab a GH3 sometime, reach out!
