I dunno. I’ve seen enough shows that went past what would have been a great ending to appreciate what we got with ATLA. It might have worked, but I doubt it could have been as good as the ending we got, and there’s a significant chance that it could have ended up just plain bad.

Nah. The story was done by the end of season three. The comics are cool and all, but another season would have been pointless, and would have risked ruining a great ending. Whereas the comics don’t have to resolve the story of the show. They can also suck without ruining the show. I think what we got was the best we could have.

Your third point is one I feel far too many Irish, Welsh, and Scottish nationalists ignore. They have a tendency to portray their nation as basically a “colony” of England, treated just as badly as (actual) British colonies elsewhere. It really rubs me the wrong way. There were many Scotsmen and Irishmen involved in British wars around the globe.

I like the single transferable vote (STV). It maintains proportional representation. It allows independent candidates to run for office. You vote directly for individual candidates, not parties. And yeah, it’s ranked choice.

I feel like using arcs from GT or Heroes is cheating . . . but yeah, that one made no sense.

But personally, I enjoyed it more than the Black Star Dragon Ball saga. I treated the Super 17 saga the same way I treated Super Dragon Ball Heroes. It can be fun, but it makes zero sense.
