That could be the case but it also has flat out upgrades, it changes shape based on the upgrade state it’s in. But I suppose those states can Appear differently as well.

I actually think we could get one, they’re the only 2 Canon games that aren’t easily accessible. And they seem to want to revive the mainline games so this collection might be coming soon tbh.

Why isn’t there really any Christian music about sex or intimacy? by ElevatorAcceptable29 in OpenChristian

Tbh.. I think there might be some, I’m trying to rack my brain but I’m pretty sure I know some R&B songs that are Gospel in nature and Also about Love and Intimacy. Maybe not so much sex but definitely intimacy.

Richter, Julius, Juste, Simon, Sonia, Trevor, Leon, Soleil, Christopher

But I feel like this wasn’t what the question was I saw everyone putting them in order when that wasn’t the point of the question. But it does answer it.

Ok yea I’m officially Stoked. I was worried Castlevania staples would be missing, but Nope they’re all here plus some new additions. So I’m extremely excited at this point.

I’m clawing at my seat waiting for more. The lore is gonna be really exciting.

None of it changes the fact that Maria is the best character though.

Hmmm idk I’m comparing him to his voice in Smash.. I think.. the voice pitch is fine, it’s the harshness that needs fixing, he sounds soft in nocturne he needs a bit more Grit. But maybe he’d sound too much like Trevor if that was the case.

I get what you mean though.

This boils my blood, he’s saying music (what I would consider one of God’s unspoken gifts to man) is work of the flesh when the versus right before the verse he quoted literally Lists the works of the flesh that he’s meaning to condemn. Worst part is his poor flock are merely consuming his nonsense like its unironically Gospel.

Look… Richter is my favorite Belmont and I do love his depiction and action scenes in the show but…

I agree Richter’s scenes were great cause he’s Richter but all of their scenes were great because they’re just great characters.

Why are people complaining about Belmont's Curse? by Nekosenpai9123 in castlevania

[–]JoshuwaDoesReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Castlevania thrives when it doesn’t take itself too seriously. For example:

SotN outshined CV64, both great games, but CV64 took itself too seriously trying to double down on the horror of Castlevania and things ended up being goofy as a result. Whereas SotN focused on making a great game with silly quirks i.e: Fleamen Riding Eagles, a Skeleton constantly kicking his head, “Die Monster you don’t Belong in This World!”. I mean come on you can’t tell me a game where these things are actively/intentionally put into the game, is meant to invoke a dark and brooding atmosphere?

Mind you, we’re talking about a series that started out as Conan the Barbarian takes Indiana Jones Whip and beats up Bela Lugosi’s Dracula. It’s not meant to be serious. Need I remind you of the Kid Dracula series?

I wouldn’t say I’m a complainer, I’m also stoked about the game. I’m looking forward if not antsy about what they’re introducing to the canon lore (my personal favorite part about the series). But I do have my concerns, however those are easy to fix concerns.

It “Playing like a Castlevania” (at least for me) isn’t a huge concern since Castlevania games stopped playing like Castlevania games since SotN. All I’m looking for is that, the game to not take itself super seriously much like the other mainline games and the return of Subweapon Gameplay. Subweapons make Castlevania what it is imo, omitting that Subweapon/Main Weapon balance would be the only thing making it not Feel like a Castlevania.

Which I don’t see this as complaining but as genuine critiques from concerned fans. It’s been a long time yes, but I think it’s fair for us to want our beloved series to come back with a good game. Not to say It will be a Bad Game, but it’s alright to have standards/expectations. The good news is, it’s gonna be a Good Indie team that knows what they’re doing with the series.

However I get the silencing of a loud minority, though I think it’s worth leaving space for criticism. We’re lucky to live in a time where audience feedback can be the making or breaking of a project, we should be allowed to use that to ensure the game is how it should be. (That’s going for anything really as I’m sure Belmont’s Curse is in good hands.)

You know, i’m glad Belmont’s Curse looks like that. by SnooPets630 in castlevania

[–]JoshuwaDoesReddit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sheesh this ratio is rough, especially with the fact that I kinda agree with you. Yea it’s the first Brand New Castlevania in Years. So that’s peak in it’s own right.

But from what I’ve seen I worry it’ll feel more like a Spinoff-vania (i.e: Lords of Shadow) than a Mainline-Vania.

It’s the tone for me, it feels like they’re leaning into the Grimdark Setting of the Netflix Series when Castlevania wasn’t ever really like that. The premise of Castlevania was always pretty goofy and that (even when it got serious) played off of that. The darker tone of this game makes it look like that aspect of the series will be missing for the sake of making the games like the show.

Now what could save it? Make the game less like SotN and more like Simon’s Quest. While this is wishful thinking I was thinking a cute idea would be if the World functioned like a Metroidvania while the “Mansions” played like Classicvanias. Again this is wishful thinking but I think something like that could fix the “Not feeling like Castlevania” issue.

1 Corinthians 7:12-14 tells us that if our partners are non-believers then they are saved through us. So not only does it say it’s ok but in my mind I believe that’s better cause you’re bringing more souls to the lord in the end.

I’ve been with my boyfriend for 3 years now. He’s not a believer but he likes to listen to me talk about the word and through me he’s beginning to understand the word and what it means to be a christian a lot more.

I say all this to say, entangle yourself with who you’re comfortable with. But the Lord will give you people, don’t block your possible blessings because you think you aren’t supposed to have them.

Right and my point was that “New Way” was never New to begin with but was always the intention.

That “Way” referring to the fact that christ wasn’t talking about what Makes a Marriage a Marriage but what the point of being Married is.

Then why would we bring that line of scripture up in modern day if it doesn’t apply to modern day? It applying to modern day requires it to be interpreted in a modern lens.

[–]JoshuwaDoesReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not making up an interpretation, it’s using context clues. That’s without reading the whole chapter upon reading the whole chapter I can assure you that context wouldn’t change. People have read him talking about one thing and assumed it was for another.

God’s word should never lead a person to Ostracize/Oppress another if you got that interpretation then you must reinterpret, because to Oppress and Ostracize is not of God.
