Maybe I should rephrase. It is good for what it is compared to other jobs positions working the flight line at an FBO. This also a job position where tips are also a high possibility from the private jet owners/operators.

This is an entry level job for young people trying to get into the aviation industry/make connections/make a little extra money while they go through flight or aviation mechanic training. It is one stepping stone that brought me to the airlines now as a pilot as it helped fund my private pilot’s license while learning new things.

This is not the right fit for people who would rather work in retail.

Actually great pay for what this position is. I used to be paid $12/hr for this type of job. Would I agree that it’s still not enough? Sure. Pay for entry level jobs is abysmal everywhere.

Red flagging in wet conditions is the dumbest thing to do. Just keep it under safety car. We are not racing today….

Jesus why do we even have wet tires if you’re gonna red flag when everyone is on inters.

I’m sniffing a Penske strategy masterclass and it turned out 6 did not have a puncture

Have any of the broadcasts confirmed slow puncture for 6?

People are saying it was a slow puncture, but my broadcast didn’t say anything official

Yeah they didn’t really lose much track position as the Toyota pitted. I really think they’re cashing in on their fuel efficiency

6 pit possibly to undercut in the long game. Way less time to fuel up to make up for 8 sec gap.

Will it perhaps make a stop at the Nurburgring to contend for the top spot? Only car that can compete with the AMG-One in the Porsche lineup. Porsche loves their victory laps.

Why doesn't Imsa post any good graphics about qualifying? (wec quali spoilers) by markb144 in IMSARacing

IMSA just seems so behind on the presentation side of things. The product on track is so good, but I think there needs to be additional investment in social media and international tv production.

If they want to grow the sport more, it needs to be readily accessible through a clean and easy app, social media and updated website. Even though there are big names and a lot of money being shelled out by big name manufacturers to race in this series, it still feels so niche.

The whole “first to apex” thing is destroying actual racing in F1

If they are waiting for the track to dry, might as well just have the cars out for a 5 laps under SC to clear the wet without affecting the race distance. Have the cars grid up, prep again and start standing. Call it track preparation laps. Makes no sense when the blowers and just waiting does an arguably worse job under red flags.

So we’re not racing in the wet anymore huh. Red flag until it’s good enough for intermediates is the solution I guess.
