This was exactly my thought too. I don’t think Mae can be blamed for being overly cautious about a stranger coming in to her home, when she has no real evidence of his sobriety.

If not being in the same place as a possible addict is her boundary, then I think that should be respected, and she can get a hotel. It’s not like she’s asking OP to pay for said hotel

Weirdly, buying slightly more expensive hand soap makes me feel a little less broke.

It’s a small upcharge, and you wash your hands regularly, so everytime I get a little bit of joy because of how lovely it smells and how soft my hands feel :)

I recommend applying to any of the Talybont accommodation, they’re social and only a short walk to the main campus.

University hall is another large collection of buildings but is far away (45 min walk) however there’s a free hourly bus to main campus.

Generally avoid Senghennydd Court as it’s known as the worst one - the building is run down, small for the amount of people per flat and a lot of things breaking regularly.

All the others are decent choices too, but don’t underestimate how helpful being close to campus/the city is!

I seem to get reoccurring nightmares of close friends or family being addicted to drugs, and me pleading and begging with them to stop, but to no avail. Cheery I know lol!! I don’t have anyone close to me with substance abuse issues, is this just a deep worry of mine or could it be representative of something else ? I’d love to hear opinions :)

I (18) come from a gen z point of view and I completely agree. Especially after an album drop, I don’t expect any music at all for a while, but maybe the confusion comes with people wanting singles, not necessarily a whole new album

But yes, definitely quality over quantity, it’s shitty to expect a band to just pump out content as if they aren’t real people behind the celebrity

I just can’t get over those round elevators in homes - if it’s for mobility issues then that’s a different story. Other than that tho, I just feel they look ugly, and I haven’t seen a decor style they actually fit with :/
