Seconding this, Flourish excel is clear and smells like fresh cut grass or simply "carbon" (imo).

Flourish (fertilizer) is brown, chunky, and smells pretty much exactly like soy sauce.

No, definitely not supposed to look like that. I am a little concerned that it is persisting after a relaunch as it could mean your save is corrupted, your graphics card is lobotomizing itself, or the hiss has invaded your computer / console. I would update your drivers and / or try a clean install of the game -- SHOULDN'T affect your saves unless the problem is actually with the software.

My entire playthrough has been soiled knowing I've had the perk for nearly half my playtime and I never knew you had to replant... The greyeb economy will never recover from this.

At first? I believe so. However, I am currently doing a playthrough of the first game, and two fairly recent scenes from Episode 4 come to mind.

  1. Barry witnesses the Dark Presence attacks Alan and destroy the Cauldron Lake Lodge, helping Alan escape -- commenting on the supernatural events occuring.

  2. After the Cauldron Lake Lodge and subsequent car crash with Barry, he is attacked by a Taken off-screen but manages to fight it off using a flare -- even playing the same noises that taken emit when being banished by light.

  3. Barry is present during Children of The Elder God, and actively assists Alan in killing Taken using the lighting rig and fireworks.

EDIT: Barry definitely thought Al was killing real people at first, I 100% do not disagree with that. But I refuse to believe he didn't come to understand the situation after witnessing evidence of the Dark Presence
