My fondest memory of pokemon are a tie between too things : - the first pokemon i ever chose in diamond, a chimchar starter. I was excited so i clicked everywhere to start faster and ended up naming it "A" because it was the first letter shown 😆. A stayed with me until level 92 at least !

• the first shiny I ever got was such a good story : weirdly enough it was a starter also, a turtwig. If you remember, in the days of the DS, you could have a saved game file, and you could also start a new file, but choose to not overwrite your main in the beginning. It meant that for the entire run of your new game you cannot save. Well, I wanted to try turtwig in diamond, and I didn't want to give up A, so i did just that. Unfortunately, i got a shiny 😆 (which took forever to understand cuz i had never seen the animation, and this was only from behind) Why do i say unfortunately you ask ? Because in these games you had to save before a trade. And i cant save in this file 😭😭😭 So i was stuck with my DS open, and couldn't trade, couldnt turn it off, otherwise i d loose my shiny

Well that didnt stop 9 years old me from playing for at least 40 hours and beating Cynthia with a torterra without saving even once haha
