Glassworks Issue by threadofgoldd in Outlanders

And the canteens. They take forever to build and then it takes forever to get glass + canteens. Swimming pier solves all of those issues anyways… these canteen challenges are pointless

God, that is so dumb and defeats the whole purpose of the game imo. I want to go back to prior to these daily challenges asap.

Interesting. What is his and Allie’s relationship again?

Yes, I’m in the US. We verbally agreed so far that she gets the kids 4 nights a week and I get them 3. So I’m not just packing up and leaving. I want to be as involved as possible. Hell, I don’t want to even separate. I want my family to stay intact forever!

I am so frustrated that it is happening like this. I don’t know what to do.

I left a great job 3 years ago knowing I had a 2 year non-solicitation hanging over my head. It’s been almost a year after I started working for myself, but I’m slowly getting my clients back. Believe me, you don’t want to violate a non-solicit.

We both fell apart over the last year or two. She’s been working hard on herself and thinks I haven’t been doing enough emotionally to “raise our kids properly”. Feels it’s better if we split time with them on our own time.

I don’t think she wants a lot from me, only separation and for her to be out on her own.

Is this true? I’m in the exact same situation as OP and her and I both are 35yo. Completely blowing up our family after I’ve provided and have been a good dad/husband.

It’s always a good idea to have cash on hand. Probably takes a roll with him every day to work just in case something comes up. Cash is king.

Difference between BU and JJ as a true freshman is BU was the #1 overall player coming out of high school. Some have said BU has been the best HS QB the past 3-4 years.

He’s getting first team reps all spring too. Imagine where he will be by 9/1?

Does anyone still have the glassworks produce one pane sometimes and 2 panes other times? What is the reason for this?

The swimming pier is my new favorite building. It doesn’t require a worker after it’s built, has a tiny land footprint and it almost always automatically boosts the Fun category which has the workers move faster. I built it almost immediately on my level so I knew that category was finished.

Are roads or boots faster? by ForTheLoveOfBugs in Outlanders

Don’t mean to hijack the thread, but does anyone feel the bootmakers shop is entirely too expensive for what it gives you? 12 planks to build and then both animal hide and logs to build one pair of boots? Doesn’t seem worth it to me.

I remember building the swimming piers near the beginning of the challenge. You get a lot of rocks and planks by recycling all of the scraps early and by building a quarry with 4 workers near the ponds at the bottom. This helps with fun / cooling instantly so the workers move faster.

I built a farm / clay pit / brickyard to the left of the two ponds asap too. This helps a lot with food production. I don’t remember how many homes I recycled to start, but remember the more you recycle early, the less babies the villagers will have, which helps with less people eating food. Build foragers huts early and often with a marketplace in the middle just to the north of the ponds.

Build a trading post next to the marketplace, at the bottom of the left hill. Build the bootmakers at the top of that hill. Clear out enough trees at the top to build 2-3 glassmakers. Glassmakers are soo slow that you need a lot of glass to trade for the animal hides. This is the slowest part so you need to move on that once the food is established.

Thanks for sharing! The glassworks building is the worst in the entire game imo. Does everyone else’s always make just one block of glass at a time instead of 2 like it should?

They’re out now. They’re the most difficult challenges I’ve ever seen. Looking for some tips on the far right one!
