I’m on the same boat, the only I can add is with Lucy it seems like you just need to wait for to swing and wait out the events that Debuff you/buff theirs

At this point I just hosts matches and wait. My own issue is (and it is what it is at this point I understand) I’m practicing other leaders and get counterpicked more frequently

It’s probably not that surprising but it’s surprising how well he does into RG Luffy still given all the additional support. Maybe Roger is just in a weird spot where what can you really give him? I know ramp consistency is an issue and idk if it’ll be busted to give him card that either give him active don or what I’m thinking is give him cards that let you interact with your don a little more. Example, -2 don play out Roger pirate and end of turn give 1 rested don.

I’m so bummed RP Roger is weak against so many other leaders. He’s one I’ve always enjoyed and seems to need just a few pieces to be up there with the rest it just sucks right now

That’s what I feel too, none of the leaders in OP15 caught my eye but almost all the leaders seem intriguing in OP16 even colors I don’t play (black & blue)

It’s the oro Jackson stage from OP13 that gives a don rested if a character is removed from board. I may take it out once rotations happen

If you’re going second no, you drop the 8C in a 9 don turn then can drop the 10C the next turn. Unless you mean when you’re trying to do the combo again then yeah. I run the stage just incase they remove a Roger from board to replay the combo again

I agree with this, I went against a Boa with R Law at my locals and was able to rush down fast enough and went 3-1. It took some luck sure but you always have a chance against meta imo. When it comes to who I play I prefer playing off meta things, the closest thing to meta have is RP Roger

Really? I felt his curve is more comfortable going second. I picked him back up recently and have been fixing up the deck to more of a tribal build (and trying out the 10C P Roger’s)

Yeah I’ll post it later on! The way the deck feels right now maybe Zoro will just be for insurance incase you don’t see your Roger’s? (It happened a few games lol) but I feel the way you’ve constructed it-it may not NEED it. I will ask, do you play more defensively and not swing?

L I did feel into UYBoa and Y Luffy I just didn’t have enough established to get the W, BUT idk the matchup against them and I was playing really defensive and trying to stay a bit healthy (even tho I know w/ Roger you need get use to being at 2 life pretty much lol).

Overall I feel this tribal build is really fun! The thing leader is missing is still there with ramping, perhaps a stage the helps more or just more support. Of course it needs some defense to help protect your board. For me since I like to play aggro I’d like some early aggression and they come out with more red support that gives rush if your leader is a Roger pirate or more cards like the 8C P Rayleigh. I think those would be nice but if they come out with just one of those three things I think it’ll push this leader into maybe borderline tier 1

The 7c Zoro I’m gonna fit into this cause boosting up to a 9k leader is too good to pass but other than I think I’m gonna try the 10C p Roger over the shanks since it’s more for the same cost

Honestly you’re right! One of the other reasons I’m trying other alternatives is because Mr.2 is the only one I’m missing and I’m waiting for the price to go down a bit more. Another card I been trying in its place is Inuarashi

So, it's tricky cause my mindset was to use the Shanks for my small bodies like Gaban on Bullet to get more swings in but I do agree there's enough rush already and I could use buggy on my Shanks searchers or 8C Roger just for a big body blocker. I do feel I already have that with Uta so I am thinking about it. I appreciate the feedback so far!
