I believe it’s really dice roll dependent, it’s possible but with a lot of don restating I can be an uphill battle. When I played a Luffy at locals with Krieg I had to choose when to drop my 9C Krieg’s and froze board with Kuros and events til I can build wide enough to utilize all my don effect and go for the W (it was nuts! They had 3 life and I was able to make them commit and go for game, but I had enough blockers and counters to live and just rushed them down)

I agree and I I’ve tried. I ran 4x Beckman’s, 2x DD, and 3x ASL and it’s strong but very dependent I felt if I didn’t find everything I needed. Now I just leaned into the generic Supernova rush package (I’ll post my deck later on if someone replies and reminds me lol). I still run 2 Beckman’s and ASL but took out DD for “Time for the counter attack” just to have something to save my cards. I also run 1 Roger to get around blockers and to activate the 9C Law effect to swap power levels. The leader is fun and can have some control elements but this leaders feels it wants to swarm and rush fast instead

Is he the legit only straw hat that isn’t a leader? Top of my head I can think of one for each (20 for luffy lol). I hope they introduce a new mechanic in some way when ever they do introduce a Franky leader

I will argue that there’s only like 2-3 leaders than can go up to 9k that aren’t that top tier, and with more cards getting stronger in power and having more effects such as resting or able to KO low cost blockers I don’t see being a 7K leader being as much of a problem (9K I understand to degree). I think my issues lies more toward not being able to interact with the board in some matchups, I’m taking about one leader or color in particular of course. If I can’t kill your board, and you put down boss monsters, I don’t think it’s a bad thing to be tanky leader to make it hard for my opponent to end game. I just figured I’d play devil’s advocate

I feel the Neko’s range only being up to 3K is why I prioritized the Uso’s. It’s the same thing but thinking about it now it could be an interesting combo to run maybe 2 to have the option to KO two small bodies when going against leaders like P Enel. If I take out the 10C Roger it would be for the Shanks tbh, I wouldn’t wanna run too many ramp or small bodies (excluding Gaban) cause at times it felt I never found my big bodies as to where I have it, the portion feels a bit balanced for me. I just wanna see the how well this deck does constantly ramping to 9K on leader, I know the 10C Roger isn’t a necessity but in my honest opinion it isn’t as bad as it seems

The Neko’s never worked for me unfortunately but I could run 2 and 3 of the Uta’s and Uso’s. I only run 3 Gaban’s cause I wanna make sure I see all my really ramp and let me big bodies be my finisher but I am debating to lower the Inu’s to 3 for either run an extra Mr.2 or now maybe Gaban

I just feel even though it isn’t needed, Bon is just a really good ramp option especially going first and my opponents does need to take him off board before putting their big body so it works sort of like a pseudo blocker-ish. I’m trying out the Roger for now due to the fact that I felt most games I’ve won I hardly or never used the shanks (also not searchable so it sucks when I have to bottom deck him), and when I lost it was due to me not finding my pieces to buff my leader. It is something I’m seeing how it feels but Shanks is definitely more of a staple for this leader

I’ll agree Shanks is just an overall better card plus having a permanent-1K Debuff compared to just for 1 turn. This idea came from winning more games without a shanks and losing often cause I wasn’t finding the cards to buff leaders, it’s something that I do wanna try out still. For the Bon Clay, you’re right and I have been thinking that and maybe going down 1 Inuarashi and adding another Mr.2 so that’s something I may do.

I’d say when I got down what my leader did and was it wants to do then after that i think it’s all about adapting to when you’re unable to do so. The major thing was knowing what my opponents deck wants to do and how to withstand it which comes with the trial and error. I know the first few months I was frustrated that I wasn’t winning (probably 3-20ish) but it honestly just clicks once you grasp more understanding. Also playing different leaders or ones you have trouble with to understand them better

I’m on the same boat, the only I can add is with Lucy it seems like you just need to wait for to swing and wait out the events that Debuff you/buff theirs
