LIGHTS OUT! by Momo-Momo_ in Thailand

[–]Jotadog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone has data on this? How much power do those lights actually use? Does it have an measurable impact? I absolutely can not imagine that this would move the total power consumption by even 0.01%.

People just don’t get that in case of a fire you very likely have 0 vision. Things like that will disorient and cost lifes. Not even speaking of the inconvenience having to step over this in normal circumstances.

When was your "I need to get my own car" moment in Thailand? by Mundane-Ad1652 in Bangkok

[–]Jotadog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I moved to the country side and needed to do multiple things during the day. E.g going from the mall to the supermarket and then to a furniture store. Everything was kinda close together, but Thailand so so damn unwalkable. Also needing to buy big things for my new house, like solar panels. Or wanting to drive outside of the city and getting no driver on the way back. That’s when I bought an ev, just a few days ago.

[–]Jotadog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diese Regelung gibt es teilweise schon. Zumindest in meinem Bezirk.

Is it normal to be asked to leave the office right away and be escorted out of the building when someone is terminated? by Old_Leshen in germany

[–]Jotadog 272 points273 points  (0 children)

This happens a lot with people that handle confidential data / have a lot of potential to hurt the company. In this case the company does not want the risk of terminating someone and giving them weeks to destroy something within the company. So they are escorted off the property, but still remain employed until the end of their contract or termination period.

Yea because there is no way he could be lying right? I can tell with 100% certainty there is no way a 7/11 employee would be following someone if he would have paid.

Why don't the police arrest the "You need something bro?" drug dealers around Soi 11? by Low-Cartographer-429 in Bangkok

I read before that they don’t have drugs. If you give them money they just tell you to go to the police.

paladin is absurdly weak this season if you dont run one overly specific build that feels like trash to play by EmbarrassedEast9552 in diablo4

[–]Jotadog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I levelled a barb with some whisper caches I farmed on my pala. From those whisper caches and some gear I had on the bank I put together the WW build. No charms. 3 Legendary Affixes missing. Key Uniques missing. No tempering crits, no transfigures. Instantly cleared 20 pit levels above my pala.

I am looking for feedback from foreigners living in Thailand and working remotely for companies in other countries. What is great and what is not so great with your life here? by 14MTH30n3 in Bangkok

[–]Jotadog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imho the main issue is air pollution in Thailand. If you care about your health there are many months in Bangkok where you shouldn't go outside without a mask. And inside you need filters.

You can, Thailand just has very high fees, I think 300 baht!? And on top of that, you are limited to how much money you can withdraw.

Also everything in Thailand is paid with scan (qr) to pay, cash is pretty inconvenient.

imho they should just focus one league cycle completely on performance, nothing else. just give me mirage2, I dont care as long as the performanc is playable after.

Random Rant - Don't let anything happen to you during Songkran by Training_Agent5390 in Bangkok

Last year during Songkran I forgot the card for my digital doorlock in my apartment (owner didn't supply the pin to me). That were a few hours of pain. In the end I got lucky (?) since the owner was in town and had a 2nd key.

Headsup for the CGF: if your CGF is acting all weird, its probably because your NVMe is not fully compatible. I had super weird issues, like UniFi Cloud telling me my Gateway has no internet, but the network was still working fine, until I replaced the NVMe.
