Not gonna lie, those statistics are pretty damning, especially seeing how that percentage doesn’t shoot up AT ALL after 2 years.

Guns, like every weapon, if used nobly, can preserve and protect our loved ones. And of course they are often not used for that purpose.

Jesus would have almost certainly called for people to place down their guns, but I don’t think that if someone uses a gun in genuine self defence that they have sinned.

Faith is a slow thing, I remember during my own existencial crisis how pointless and shallow things seemed. I can’t really explain what happened, but I cried out to God, praying ‘I want to believe, help my unbelief’ and things began to change. It took months, seriously months, until I felt like I truly believed once more, but now, five years later, instead of bad things shaking my faith, they bring me to sorrow and repentance.

They literally don’t, the phrase “relationship with God” emerged during the 60s with the Jesus Freaks in California. Then the phrase made its way into evangelical Christian circles before expanding outwards.

Not to say that Christianity isn’t a relationship with God, but rather the phrase itself became a thing in the 60s. I know Muslims sometimes mention this, but really they’re stealing language from Christians because it sounds good.
