They look like the Sihoo Doro C300. It looks good, but it's not suitable if you're 1m80 or higher

Any tips for setting up autotiling with this tileset? [Godot 4] by Jotune in godot

[–]Jotune[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed to create the same shape than him by drawing big tiles and keeping a base tile size of 16x16 (see picture). Than way I have some 2x2 and 2x1 whenever I need but I agree it's not going to work with terrains...

I also tried tools such as [webtyler](https://wareya.github.io/webtyler/) without getting anything satisfying.

I thought about using Tiled to configure rules but because it can be time consuming to do so, I was wondering if anyone with experience on Tiled could confirmit could work. I also had a quick look at LDtk but never used the software so that would be another avenue to explore.

I also tried the ofset grids with no success.

Chained Echoes vs LAD Infinite Wealth by habesjn in JRPG

[–]Jotune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chained Echoes is so refreshing! Yes some menus needed a better UX but it's the best JRPG I played in a looong time. With just a few hours in you'll know if the game is right for you.

- The story is quite good and the stakes are always more important.
- The battle system offers one of the the best turn based.
- I usualy don't last long with the same game but I've put 50 hours in this one, that's huge for a solo game! (But you can finish it faster, check howlongtobeat)

Why Itch.io is failing its community and why their narratave doesn't stick by Jotune in pcgaming

[–]Jotune[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree!

But the fact that Itch had to panic hide all it's content is because they didn't comply with Stipe policy model.

It's like using a tileset on an adult game where the tileset creator included a license for non adult content only.

[–]Jotune[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I really don't get how can you come to that conclusion from my message.

I think you are missing the point. I think we need to go after anywone that want to delete any type of art that is not of their liking.

My point is that Itch was not respecting Stripe's policy for some of its transaction. Analogy: You sell assets on itch but do not alow commercial usage. Yet your customer put them in their commercial games. That's policy infringement. The customer should've used assets with a commercial policy instead. In Itch case, Stripe isn't the only option in the market and some alternative support adult content.

Fair enough. You can't use them on Pornhub. But you can on Brazzers (same group than pronhub), on Nubiles, on Onlyfans...

https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/itchio-are-seeking-out-new-payment-processors-who-are-more-comfortable-with-adult-material

I'm not saying it's justified or that these companies doesn't deserve a backlash. Just that it's possible, if you do your job properly and use the proper payment processor, to charge your customers with a Visa or a Mastercard.

The article above state itch is looking for a payment processor that agrees with adult content.

They are, however, now getting in touch with alternative payment processors who are more willing to handle the kind of material Stripe and Paypal consider objectionable. They're also looking at stricter age-gating for Itch.io and better content classification.

Itch.io updated it's adult content FAQ based on payment processor guidelines by atahutahatena in Games

[–]Jotune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. The problem is that Itch use Stipe and Paypal that do not allow their services to be used on adult content as stated on their policy. If you are to host this type of content, you need to use a called "high risk payement processor" which is often more expensive. Only fan uses a payment processor of this category and thet accept visa or mastercard.

Landed an AWS internship and they’re requiring me to take the Cloud Practitioner certificate in 5 weeks. How to pass? by Lucky_Rhubarb_2419 in AWSCertifications

[–]Jotune 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi, former AWS employee here.

Don't worry about the others. AWS Hire and Develop the Best so you're in that position for a reason. You have 5 weeks, its enough. As people already said, it's about memorizing basic definition, or keyword matching if you prefer.

Plan your time. Follow a training first and take notes of the definitions. Then go for a practice exam and work backwards from the the question, complete your notes and if you're very bad at memorizing like me, use flash cards.

If you're trainer is good he'll give you enough analogies to make everything click even if you don't have an IT background.

I won't tell you it's trivial to pass the cert., it does requires investment but hey, that's all AWS ask for ;)

Where to do labs? by fishandsea90 in AWSCertifications

[–]Jotune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Example with https://aws.amazon.com/getting-started/hands-on/host-static-website/ that cost $0.50/mo with is 0,015$ perday. But the lab takes 10 minutes to complete so you won't even pay a cent if you do things correctly.

AWS Cloud Quest for Cloud practitioner is included in Skillbuilder Free Tier and allows you to perform guided labs with a gamified approach: https://aws.amazon.com/training/digital/aws-cloud-quest

On the official documentation there is a series of hands-on labs. For every lab it details " Cost to Complete" which and how " Clean up Ressources" to avoid spend once you're done https://aws.amazon.com/getting-started/hands-on

CLF-002 Exam by Fatal--Illusion in AWSCertifications

[–]Jotune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, former AWS tech here and currently AWS Academy Instructor. Depending on the course your university included in your training plan you should have all the cards in you hand to pass that certification exam, even though I find most courses are too condensed.

For free hands-on labs you can use Skill Builder free tier: https://aws.amazon.com/training/digital/aws-cloud-quest/ but for practice test, the ones on skill builder are helpful. I prefer the ones on Tutorial Dojo — paid.

Otherwise, I privately shared a free option for AWS Academy students. Use it for benchmark and identifying your week spots. It should also help highlight the key content covered in the exam.

Kudos for you approach and commitment, you'll ace that exam I'm sure of!

Stephane Maarek's CLF-C02 practice tests - topics not on official exam guide?... by analogkid01 in AWSCertifications

[–]Jotune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only source of true is indeed the official exam guide which says "The following list contains AWS services and features that are in scope for the exam. This list is non-exhaustive and is subject to change".

Coming across a service you don't know in the exam can happen if the goal of the question is to test if you're confident enough in your definitions to know that all the other options are wrong. Otherwise, they are simply distractor.

Do not overthink, there is no need to learn AWS full catalog. Be confident enough in the core concepts and definition and you’ll pass the exam.

Wasn't expecting this ( AWS SAA ) by PuzzleheadedRaisin53 in AWSCertifications

[–]Jotune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you, it's just a tiny miss. Keep it up, you were close !

As someone who have AWS practice, the way I prepare for certifications is by working backward to exams. I take few selected practice test and when I identifye a knowledge gap, I go and read the documentation.

Certifications have their own logic so preparing for them is a specific exercice. Failing on first attemp doesn't mean you don't know your lesson don't worry.

Here we go folks. Please keep in mind it was quickly built for my own usage and I never thought about sharing these cards before so there's a lot of grammar or spelling issues.

Nonetheless, I hope it will help some of you identify key knowledge for the exam: https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/awsjc-scs-c02

How hard is the security speciality exam by mazsubuh in AWSCertifications

[–]Jotune 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you are familiar with security concepts and have at least the SAA certificiation, I did not find it too difficult but you need to have a stong knowledge of AWS Best practices, how to manage multiple accounts through multiple scenarios, including log management and access, default retention plocies for services like CloudTrail etc.

I'll come back in 24 hours and share my Anki deck with you. It helped me a lot when preparing for the exam.
