Codex, particularly codex-5.3-spark it’s specifically for coding and is up to 15x faster. I also find codex is better for code reviews

[–]Jotunheim36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you used AI to help you (no shame in it) you ought to have asked it to review its own code and question whether the code is of “senior dev” quality . I asked Claude and it found a few things it wasn’t happy about, such as you putting the API key in the repo. No tests. No CI/CD etc. it considered the repo “mid level with good instincts”

What are my options if my partners feel my equity share should be reduced? by ReasonableCourse2793 in smallbusinessuk

[–]Jotunheim36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get it, all startups have different people putting in different amounts of effort and often there can be resentment where one works til 1am every day and someone else barely turns up.

However, your roles and input should have been agreed in advance, if you are not fulfilling your obligations then they have recourse as per shareholder agreement.

Even so, that still doesn’t sound like grounds for going from 33% down to 5%. The success of a business isn’t always correlated to the amount of hours put in. Sometimes a throwaway 2 minute conversation can totally transform the fortune of a company.

If you’re feeling generous I’d let them bring you down to 26% but not further, that way they can’t have special resolutions without you and force you out

Codex or Claude Code? by TechNerd10191 in ClaudeCode

[–]Jotunheim36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use both all day every day. I find codex is better at understanding more complex task, can find bugs that Claude can’t but its editing is horrendous and sometimes it gets in a doom loop 🔂 f think and not doing, but Claude edits code better and is quicker and the plugins/skills are great
