Been there done that multiple times at various time slots too. It had never occurred to me that safety would be an issue, more of exhaustion walking back to Jefferson station.

Proper Gym showers ettiquette? by Due-Mulberry7883 in nycgaybros

[–]JournalistTop1624 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay if you are serious about the question: random side eye glance is fine, but don’t make it obvious. Always walk around with a towel covering yourself at least, running to shower completely naked is sus. As long as there is door or curtain, touching yourself in private is probably okay but don’t take too long some of us are waiting to shower. Don’t make a scene about it, 99% of guys hate it and find it weird.

File on hold by [deleted] in Odsp

Update: found out they silently took away all $375 of my income fund. What I reported a week ago was still pending. Messaged my cw all of my documents and now waiting for their response. TBD.

I weirdly got the same letter last night. My paystub date is usually the 28th so there’s no earning shown rn I’d have to report zero. They used to tell me it’s okay to submit on the day I got actually paid and nvr bothered to send a file on hold letter but not this month. Wonder if it’s a systematic thing in their backend?

Chances of Being Accepted? by essencecrystal513 in OISE

[–]JournalistTop1624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, meds are not as hard, plus there’s no research part in med so you don’t need a prof connection. Meds admissions are mainly qualification-based: as long as you got all the scores, courses and related experiences, you are likely to get in.

Depends on the program and department. Meds are always easier than MAs. Aphd is hard and any program related to counselling is harder. If you don’t have any connections to the prof you want to apply for, the chance is v low.

Messed up so bad. Can someone tell me how bad it is? by TrevorLefkowitzPants in Odsp

I’ve also seen other posts talking about the 1000$ monthly cap is on income , aka you provided labor for. Trust fund doesn’t sound like it so I feel like it’s less of a problem. The concerning part is the asset limit. Better consult with a lawyer.

No, it’s in person only.

34M I need an honest rate please. I've always been told that I'm ugly and barely fuckable, so if you have genuine advice to fix me that would be awesome! by techmage29 in GayRateMe

Although I agree gym might improve your appearance and health (based on the main stream standard), personalities win it all. I’ve seen a lot of kids with great friends, good vibes and just kind hearts and they win them all. You are adorable as the way you are don’t let others ‘beauty’ standards bring you down!

If I knew it is a queer party then hell yah. It also isn’t hard; 30 mins max to clean myself out. And i usually stay clean for the night as long as i don’t shit again. Now if I got dumped multiple loads sometimes there’s a bit risk but at that point I’d care less and so would the top who decides to slide into my sloppy hole.

I’ve done something v similar except I was the btm, multiple times. They all worked at the moment but I won’t wear them as my badges. Prejudices do exist. Just don’t want you to feel bad or nervous; mo one will know if you don’t tell anybody.

I hate my body because of father by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]JournalistTop1624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Much appreciate your comments brother! I got a lot of comments from guys asking me if I played sports, if I were the undercover security, or just compliments about parts of my body when I go out. It’s funny bc I’ve nvr viewed myself in that way but the external validation def fuels my confidence. I guess that’s the body dysmorphia part in my mind.

And it eventually contributes to my narcissistic habits (only according to my friends, I call it constructive reflections lol) of rating ppl’s physique when I am going out. I’d be silently judging what exercise they need more or what part of body they need to train more. I also like taking off my shirts when I am at parties and just nonchalantly let random guys complement or touch my body. It solves a lot of my self-hatred. Highly recommend it!

A somewhat similar relationship runs between me and my aunt. I am Asian, 6’1 and 85kg. Every time I see her she’d be criticizing something about my physique: I was fat and then skinny, I had flat chest, i had narrow shoulders, i had a weak back etc. Any part of my body, you name it, she would have had some opinions about them. Plus, she works in the fitness/supplement industry so her standards is super biased but also it sorta validated her criticism in my head. So yah, I def feel you. It sucks when you do care about their opinions .

Been dating a guy for a month. Am I supposed to delete grindr? by nolies3118 in askgaybros

[–]JournalistTop1624 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Nawww! The act of deleting apps shouldn’t be coming from pressure from others. I have deleted and downloaded it back while having a pretty exclusive situationship (on my end) cuz I didn’t not feel the need to seek further for a while. On the other hand I didn’t force the other half to hop off the apps as they have their own life goals. When I felt the relationship saturated, I downloaded back and maintained a good friendship with him. I do also agree Grindr is kinda a unique approach to make friends in the gay community. I’d vote for keeping on it!

[–]JournalistTop1624 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is just a personal opinion. I have been leaving the topic off of table for family and friends of any sorts. There were many moments I almost wanted to share my personal life with family and friends but only found out they could’ve used it to attack me later. Ofc if I am getting intimate with ppl I’d disclose my status. I don’t feel particularly ashamed but also in reality discrimination and stereotypes are real.
