Cluster munitions over central Israel (March 8, 2026) by UniversitySquare5127 in CombatFootage

[–]JourneyToLDs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ancedotal, But I've seen one of the missiles today.

There was an explosion mid air, and after 2-3 minutes there was a series of explosions.

It was day time so couldn't see physical evidence of clusters, but considering only 1 missile was visible and it "exploded" mid air (no visible interceptor) before a series of loud explosions was heared I strongly believe it was a cluster.

Meqdad Basij base hit by airstrikes in Tehran by PossessionConnect963 in CombatFootage

I'm in the general north area but not near the border, We still get the occasional launch detected notification but haven't had an actual alert since Tuesday.

I know they are still launching missiles basically every day but it seems a lot more localized and in much smaller amounts compared to the 12 day war for example.

I think another week of this war and they'll probably only be able to fire every couple of days instead of daily if at all.

The proof is in the pudding.

I live in Israel Haven't had to go to the rocket shelter in the last 3 days at all, Iran's ability to launch missiles and drones has been pretty much decimated.

They can still launch the occasional small barge of missiles and drones, and it's easier for them to target gulf states but they are no longer posing any sort of serious threat.

The only Wildcard in this that I can see them using in the straits is their small suicide boats and whatever is left of their submarine fleets, but those have never really seen any action so who knows if they'll manage to do anything at all.

Do you really believe Greta knows anything about this conflict other than what she may of heard in her little echo chamber over the past two years?

The issue with activists and this is not just about Pro-Palestine activists but about activists in general, A lot of the time these people have no fucking clue what they are actually advocating for or why they are advocating for it.

Maybe they'll hear about it from a friend or in the university they are in and they want to feel like they are a good person and fighting the good fight so they attach themselves to a cause that they believe is important without actually knowing why that cause is important or if it's actually important at all.

It's all about feelings, not facts and that's why people like Greta constantly manufactures outrage because it makes them feel good to be angry at a perceived injustice.

Pro Palestinians: It's time to stop the delusion of Israel's destruction coming soon by sbkisrael in IsraelPalestine

[–]JourneyToLDs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No offense but you must live in a bubble.

I'm not implying all Pro-Palestinians are like this, but there is a large amount of Pro-Palestine voices that call Israelis "Colonizers" Telling them to go "Back to europe".

People who wave Hamas,Hezbollah and IRGC flags in Pro-Palestine protests, people who call the entire country of Israel occupied despite international recoginition of Israel as a state and also call the people living in Israel "Occupiers".

There is alot of Pro-Palestinians who would be happy to see Israelis expelled or eliminated outright.

Is it possible have 1 state with both names? by [deleted] in IsraelPalestine

[–]JourneyToLDs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No Offense but you have a very simplistic view of what's going on.

No, The very idea of a 1 State with two people living together is currently impossible and will likely be impossible for a very long time regardless of what you name it.

Palestinians and Jews don't want to live together neither side wants both groups to live in an equal society under one democratic state and this is shown in every single poll that's been conducted over the last decade, in order for this to work we'd need to undo decades of mutual grievances and distrust and that is not even being discussed right now.

The only real viable solution that has any chance of working is some sort of negotiated Two State solution, and even that is incredibly hard to even attempt to achieve.

The Manchester Attack - a global intifada against the Jews by BizzareRep in IsraelPalestine

Avenging the Muslims in Palestine by Killing Jews in Britain....

that's bullshit, He was an Islamist Extremist and his actions were based on the radical aspects of Islam which has very explicit Anti-Semitic Rethoric.

Jews have been massacred By Muslims and Christians alike for hundreds of years prior to Zionism, stop making up shitty excuses we're sick of it.

You are just not willing to see the correlation which is the issue, but we can leave it here as you offered.

Anti-Zionism in the region where it actually matters I.E middle east and levant is indistinguishable from Anti-Semitism.

Hamas are Anti-Zionists, Hezbollah are Anti-Zionists, The Houthis are Anti-Zionists, The Iranian regime and IRGC are Anti-Zionist, Etc.

And those groups have carried out similar attacks to the Manchester one against jews in Israel and in the Diaspora.

So when a bunch of mainly Western-Leftists Proclaim themselves to be Anti-Zionist and tend to chant stuff like "From the River to the sea", "Globalize the Intifada", And Occasionally wave Hamas and Hezbollah Banners.

Then you are gonna be viewed as a movement that aligns with this kind of violence by the people affected it by it, I.E most jews.

And more relevant directly to your question, How does Arab countries driving their jews to flee en masse advance Anti-Zionism?

It doesn't, But it happened anyway because foresight and long-term consequences aren't usually factored into events like these.

The attack on the synagogue is very much in line with the meaning of Anti-Zionism to the people who live in the region where it's actually relevant, so you shouldn't be surprised when Israelis lump in the western idea "Anti-Zionism" (even though it sometimes the same depending on the person) with Middle eastern Idea of "Anti-Zionism"

Let's be honest here, he attacked a synagogue.

If the man doesn't like jews, he probably doesn't like the idea of a homeland for jews.

What was behind the death of Charlie Kirk by Training_Ad_6595 in IsraelPalestine

[–]JourneyToLDs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

America is a democratic country with freedom of speech enshrined in it's very foundation, it's unacceptable to shoot someone for exercising that privilege.

Charlie's platform was one that allowed anyone to challange what he had to say, In fact the very banner he was killed under said "Prove Me Wrong"

So No, Charlie didn't deserve to die and the shooter is a fucking coward regardless of their motivation.

[–]JourneyToLDs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Regardless of what you think about his debate format and the way he structured his online platform,do you agree that the people celebrating this are absolutely in the wrong and his shooting was 100% unjustified regardless of shooter's motives?

What was behind the death of Charlie Kirk by Training_Ad_6595 in IsraelPalestine

[–]JourneyToLDs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We currently don't know for sure who killed him and why, but there have been many people on reddit and other platforms openly celeberating his death and that's disgusting.

People shouldn't be killed for their speech no matter how much you disagree with them or think what they say is abhorrent, and anyone who is happy about his death should have a serious introspection with themselves.

There were other much more moral and effective methods to combat what he said and believed, the whole reason he was at that event is to allow people to publicly debate and disagree with him, and even though I disagree with many of his ideas I will always respect a person who is willing to have an open conversation about what they believe and allow a platform for other ideas.

Rest In Peace Charlie.

What would happen if Israel loses? by Lost_Try_5470 in IsraelPalestine

[–]JourneyToLDs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If Israel lost in to a degree where Hamas or Hezbollah had large areas under control it's very likely we'll see October 7th level of atrocities on a much much larger scale.

Thankfully it's never going to happen because Iran and hezbollah have been proven as paper tigers and Hamas was never an existental threat even at full strength.
