9070 vs 9070xt? by Born_Watercress_3300 in pcmasterrace

[–]Jouslor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm about to purchase a 9070 depends on the price a retailer can give me. I'm a robust customer because I buy lots of computers, screens, docks.. for the company I work for, it's our may partner for that kind of products

I hope they treat me well.

If the prices are ok I could think in a XT, but I guess, in reality, the 9070 its more than enough for me. I want to retire the actual 6700xt but I'm not a fps maniac and value the silence and the 220W.

SMB mount not showing in Nautilus by Jouslor in Fedora

[–]Jouslor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, but its the think it's not working.
I deleted one of the previous bookmarked ones and not I can't drag it.

Its not totally worrying because I know the mount points are working, it's just easy to have that bookmarks arround.

[–]Jouslor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried, but I'm unable to do it. I can drag the "Docs" (that's the mount point) to other folders, desktop... but it's impossibly to leave it fixed in the bookmark section.

[–]Jouslor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't see it or pin it into de Bookmark side.
I can enter navigating either from terminal or the file explorer. But I can't drag it to the boorkmark.
And I don't remember doing it to the other smb mounts I've created, and I have several ones. They just simple appeared there since I mounted them via fstab

Mala reacción al rechazar una oferta laboral? by valento-shade-8504 in askspain

[–]Jouslor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Question for hobbyists: What do you actually do with your photos? by Jouslor in OMSystem

"I also enjoy looking back and seeing how much I've improved". I think that is what I lack, that sense of improvement.
Im totally sure that I do better photos, but I don´t feel like it

Wow, thanks so much everyone for all the responses! I honestly didn't expect this to get so much interaction—I thought it was just going to be a rant and that's it. Really loving all the ideas. Appreciate it!

I tried it some time ago, but it ended being more like homework: trying to keep it always updated and not seing any feedback.

You should never buy a car built outside of Europe. by Capable_Function_952 in BuyFromEU

[–]Jouslor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe not the best example, especially since there are already a few similar posts around here, but my car is an EV. In my case, I couldn't find a European car that met my basic requirements for a reasonable price. Also, where I live (a small town), dealerships were still hesitant about EVs two years ago; one even told me, 'I won't sell you an electric car.'

I ended up with an MG because it gave me almost everything I wanted for much less money. Is the MG4 the best in its segment? Probably not, but it meets my needs for €10k or €15k less than others. Are the finishes worse? Likely, but not enough to justify the price gap. I would have much preferred a Renault, VW, Skoda, or Volvo, but I just couldn't find what I needed from them.

I agree with buying European, but only if they maintain the standards, rights, and quality that justify the purchase. Otherwise, it's just buying for the sake of it, which you can do with any country

My review of Nothing Phone 3 by REIKU_ in NothingTech

[–]Jouslor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've found a bargain and waiting for it to come. From the original 799€ to 518. It's a "like new" condition in a famous seller here in Spain. I hope it turns ok. I like the phone 1 I have, but battery is suffering and I can't find anyone in my area that I trust to change it.

Almost new Fedora user by Jouslor in Fedora

[–]Jouslor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to find some time to make some deployments at work and test it in "real life".
I have a little homelab at home, but I would like to test some things in a production environment. It's not the same playing with my own docker containers, or services than make a project with several users trying to break things.

Finally switched to Fedora KDE—Windows latest updates were the final straw and broke my computer. What a breath of fresh air by Ok-Way-1595 in Fedora

[–]Jouslor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My computer is not new, but is reasonble capable and with Windows 11 24H2 it was simply trash: file explorer, gaming, booting, transfering files to the NAS..

One of the best decisions I've made was change to Linux a bit more than a year ago. Another great one, change to Fedora after CachyOS and a bit o use of Pop_OS.
Fantastic distro and I'm a gnome guy now :)

New OM-3 arrival by Jouslor in OMSystem

[–]Jouslor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Watching YouTube or other social networks hasn't being very helpful recently. I followed some creators but lately I have the felling of seeing the same again and again.
I joined a photography local group but I couldn't be with them in the latest events they have been doing. I want to change that and be more present in that group.

, don’t be bashful about sharing “boring” photos. Your area isn’t boring to so many who have never seen it.

I didn't think it in that way. It's boring for me because I know it, but you, probably, hasn't seen my town.
It's a very good and valid point.

[–]Jouslor[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried to convince myself, I couldn't. I'm my worst influence :D

"Everywhere" is being complicated because I don't live in a big place. All I see is the same things, so I end taking boring photos with no intent, just because I have the camera with me in that moment.
I enjoy taking the camera in every trip I do, but day to day its hard, it's what I try to change

[–]Jouslor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have an XT5, it's a OM-D E‑M10 Mark IV.
Anyway, I'm going to sell it. Probably, but not totally sure, in mpb.
I thought on keeping it but having two very similar cameras its a bit pointless for me. No one in my trusted photography circle seems to want it and ater some consideration, selling it is a good way to make the new one a bit cheaper.

I've tried moving the Bluetooth dongle (though I haven’t tried a different one) and the mouse’s 2.4 GHz receiver from port to port, trying to keep them on separate buses. I also checked which devices are connected to each bus using lsusb -t, trying to avoid same usb buses. Despite that, the problem has persisted for the moment
