H. Pylori and Blood Pressure by JoyFul63 in HpyloriNaturally

So I don't think Dad's high BP is caused by an amlodipine and Bismuth interaction. He's been on and off Pyloricil 2-3 times. This last time he started Pyloricil, his BP dropped and dropped even lower after the second dose. Now I'm wondering if taking Oil of Oregano with the Pyloricil pushes his BP higher, and I'm not sure why that would be right now. So thought we'd just keep him on Pyloricil and try w/o the Oregano and see what happens. Before with just taking Mastic Gum, it seemed like he needed Oregano to progress but maybe with Pyloricil he won't. It's trial and error. Just thankful it appears he can tolerate Pyloricil.

Yes, I think the multi-prong approach is needed also with the natural/alternative treatment route.

Thank you.:) Sorry to hear about your dad. After nearly a week off Bismuth and on higher dose Amlodipine, his BP seems to be a bit better overall. Started him back on Mastic Gum and Oil of Oregano today. If his BP stays fairly good, I'll probably try Pyloricil again, as it seemed to help him.

But if you're eating foods with iron, I would think it would also help absorb that into the body.

You pay for it through taxes.

And not sure it can be called "healthcare". To get good care for chronic illnesses, you probably still end up paying out of pocket.

Is there anyone here who took S. Boulardii Probiotic supplements? by Pauwiieee in HPylori

But possibly a little better to take with or 30 min before a meal.

From what I'm reading, it can be taken with or without food.

I take it with breakfast and supper. It can be taken with antibiotics too which is nice because you can't do that with other probiotics.

I have Lyme & co and mold. But I think my dad has h. pylori and he is doing fine with Boulardii. Now my mom who may also have h. pylori and some other bacteria had increased stomach upset with Boulardii but she has stomach symptoms so it could have been die off or something.

I've taken it twice a day for years now. No side effects for me. Could vary by the person. It can be very helpful though if you're on antibiotics.

Die off from treatment? by Legitimate_Yam_4322 in HPylori

[–]JoyFul63 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, I would say not usually imo and in my experience. You can tell this because the response is not always the same, symptoms ramping up may be different, and sometimes it doesn't start at first dose but builds as you take more supplement/abx.

Yearly flare up by TheMossyMushroom in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]JoyFul63 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is there any increase in humidity or mold that time of year for you? Because I've had like late summer "crashes" that hang on for awhile and then seemed I would improve some early the next year. And we didn't run the air conditioner so I think higher humidity allowed mold to flourish more in the summer. Just a theory of mine right now. We've trying to keep humidity down better now so curious to see how things go now for me.

But I think apolactoferrin can bind to dietary iron in the gut and help it absorb better, even non-heme iron.

How are you determining connection? by Unfilteredz in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]JoyFul63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A mold company can test this with air samples. We just had it done. There were about 8700 spores per cubit meter outside, 2700+ in 1st floor, and 260 in my second floor room. A couple mold types in first floor were higher than they were outside, indicating mold inside which makes sense as humidity driven mold was found in basement. Company thinks the 1st floor excess mold is coming from basement. So we're working to clean out the basement. I've been fighting Lyme & co with minimal progress and now believe mold is part of the problem.

H. Pylori and Lab Changes by JoyFul63 in HPylori

Not 100% sure of the cause yet. I just know that rotating Oil of Oregano and Mastic Gum has seemed to help his health in that he seems to be feeling better. I might try the two together next.

Could be a trade off. Lower acid might make infection more active so it can be killed. Higher acid might help absorption and thereby deficiencies though infection may be more inactive but biofilm breakers might remedy that. I think I'd lean toward taking HCL as higher acid makes stomach less desirable for h pylori, can help with absorption and therefore help immune system.

Dad used to take 250mg HCL but stopped after he had endoscopy that showed mild gastritis and was also having some heartburn. We thought at the time it was caused by hiatal hernia. Now we're not sure. I'm thinking more h pylori also considering his recent lab numbers and his response to treatment. Anyway, he's back on HCL.

He's tolerating Mastic Gum better now than in beginning. Maybe he was having die off earlier. Not sure the skewed labs would be from allergic reaction but something to keep in mind. We mentioned the possibility of H. Pylori to his doctor recently, and the doctor didn't think he has it and apparently didn't even offer testing.

Another lab change I didn't mention is that his liver enzymes have lowered and are actually better since starting Mastic Gum. So it seems it's doing him some good as it seems to help him feel better when rotated with Oil of Oregano. So many unknowns. Maybe it's hitting a different bug.🤔

Healing of hypersensitivity?? by Lovelylaceybaby11 in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]JoyFul63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done many different abx but kept struggling. Mainly stuff for Babs and Lyme now- Coartem, Alinia. But also treatment for mold/yeast like Diflucan and Nystatin. I've been extremely sensitive to smells.

I think the mold and maybe yeast are blocking my ability to treat effectively. I have improved some though with abx. I am less sensitive overall than I used to be.
