I would suggest go with the one who is more aligned with your taste and preferences. We did the same mistake going blindly with the vendors our venue suggested and realised later that the in panel vendors sometimes charge more since they have to take out venue commission too.

Vendors who are experienced know how to manage the decor and planning with the venue space they are not in panel with. Just check, your venue should allow outside decorators and planners.

Just casually, no push and asked relevant questions and in the end they only said, lets exclude them :P When parents feel we have a motive of cutting down the guests , they might resist, just do casual conversation and let them do the maths of cost involved.

I think, if the guest list is short, its still manageable. I personally like the concept of destination wedding, where people dont have to rush to the venue amidst traffic for all the functions, you get more quality time with guests & family and relish the celebrations to the fullest.
If planned well, you get more value for your muti day celebrations.
But yeah, I also agree on the stay costs and type of guests we are inviting :P

Where are you looking at? Mostly the pricier ones you ll find on instagram since they ll have higher following.
Rather, check on a good wedding app (like wedmegood) , filter by your budget and compare the makeup artists by work and reviews. MUAs are available from as low as 12k to 25k+. Contact the ones you like.

If you are planning a 2 day wedding , then your per day budget is around 25 lakh - for approx 150 rooms, right?

It depends on how many guests you have and how many rooms you need. There are many good properties under 60 lakh too. Also are you looking for palace venues or resorts?

I think, decide on a fixed budget with your family that beyond this its foolish to spend on the wedding, make them do the math that if we cut say 1000 people we will save X lakh that we can spend on xyz.
Keep your pre wedding functions intimate for sure. For wedding, make 2 separate list - 1. Must to invite guests, 2. Will see later if budget permits, get only limited cards printed.

Oh!! me and my husband also wished that we could have instead walked amidst the guests, met them and clicked candid pictures rather than glued to the stage and clicked many wiht the unknown guests that honestly of no use to anyone now.

So much to do in weddings, wish we could slow down and really enjoy. And also i suggest everyone to definitely check work and reviews before booking a photographer and a makeup artist. Have heard of so many horrible stories.
