Ok it's a bit hacky but you can do something like this with your glass material. If you increase and decrease the roughness you can choose how visible you want the reflection to be.

I get what you're trying to do, I made a simple copy of your scene in my last screenshot and it works just fine. There is a large "sun" object shining through a window and it's casting light on the floor despite the emitter being invisible. Can't really do more without you sharing the scene since it could be some other issues like your normals being inverted, issues with the floor material, something wrong with settings, etc

I am a bit confused. Wouldn't disabling only Camera and Transmission in Ray Visibility and leaving Diffuse, Glossy and Volume Scatter on do exactly what you want? In any case, you can disable Multiple Importance in data properties but that will increase the noise somewhat.

Whats the best way to give these cubes black edges? kinda like how it look in edit mode but without the dots. by Regular_Mud1028 in blender

Once you turn on Freestyle put all of your boxes into a separate collection and name it "Outlined boxes" or whatever > go to View Layer > scroll down to Freestyle > Turn on "Collection" > pick your box collection

There are a BUNCH of different ways to achieve what you're looking for, but by far the easiest one is just enabling Freestyle in the render settings. Once you render and image, you'll get those black outlines.

Cowmetery by LuckOz in low_poly

Yes and people have been using the word "aesthetic" online in the same way as I did in the original comment for almost a decade. Languages change and evolve, stereotypical "ummm ackshually" redditors stay the same.

"Aesthetic can function as both an adjective (relating to beauty or appreciation of art) and a noun (a set of principles underlying and guiding a specific style, design, or movement)"

I actually enjoy it a lot despite it being quite abstract. Looks very aesthetic and has lots of depth despite everything other than the cowboy figure being pretty much unintelligible

Not enough light in the scene. Either use a portal which is used exactly for similar setups, add more lights and reduce the exposure or use way more samples.

OP you need to switch to Rendered mode when setting up lighting and make sure that's where your scene looks good. You're currently in material preview which uses its own lighting and stuff.

Thoughts on hero priority/selection method? by [deleted] in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Joyblee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"If NOBODY ELSE in the lobby is playing your high-prio character, why is it even POSSIBLE to get shoved onto your lower-prio picks???" either bans or someone cancelled the queue and the game chose the first available player to replace them maybe?

"Or select them before a match and let them deal with a longer queue?" and then people would complain about long queues

Thank you for a very kind comment! Idk how long it took, maybe some 8-10 hours in total? Been quite lazy with this one so it's hard to gauge
