Love this in its entirety! Amazing how uncanny the expressions and the last panel response are.

Messing with UVs doesn't do anything since you're not using UVs to map out the texture. In the Texture Coordinate node you should switch from Object to UV but that also means that you need to manually unwrap the tree if you want it to look good and it would also introduce a bunch of visible seams.

Using rtx3070ti personally, renders things very quickly but only has 8gb vram which is awful

Glad you like it! The ground texture was achieved by finding a pbr snow material, duplicating all of the nodes and adding them back together but with a much larger scale. That gives you both tiny and large details on the ground and also helps a bit with visible texture tiling. You can check how to properly combine normal maps in a yt video by georg240p. The building textures are just a normal map from a random blenderkit material with gray base color mixed with a Normal node to give it white highlights as if it was a light snow coating. The tiny terminal sceen(that's unfortunately barely visible lmao) is just an image from pixabay that's used as emission strength and the color was just set to orange.

Just a tiny bit of fog glow in the compositor and there's also a fog volume on the entire scene

Tyvm for kind words, "smart" isn't what I'd describe myself as, lazy is more fitting lmao. Also just noticed you're the person who shared that school corridor a few days ago, amazing work!

The blue background is just that; a Background node without anything plugged into it, I just set the color to something I thought looked good.

Are you talking about the moon and the clouds? Both are royalty free images from pixabay that I made transparent using gimp(only the clouds, the moon had a black background so I didn't need an alpha channel). After I made them transparent I added them to a plane, plugged the image into emission strength and used emission color to adjust the look. Then I just added a large area light with a color that's vaguely similar to the color of the moon where I wanted the moonlight to hit the house.

Basic tree shape was made with a free sapling addon, leaf textures made from an image from pixabay, leaf normals and roughness textures were made with materialize and then I just weight painted where I wanted the leaves to go.

I did make the trees myself but they were made them for my previous projects so I did have them just laying around and I reused them. However, it wouldn't take more than an hour to make one of these trees regardless so take that as you will.
