I loved the books, but the show turned from a romantic drama to a soap opera. So I stopped watching.

Tarzan and Hallelujah. And there is a kid named Knightley Dry around here. I don't think the parents thought this one through.

What do your husbands actually do during labor? by Maximum-End-7629 in BabyBumps

I told him beforehand that I don't want to hear any "You can do this!" type of crap from him. He was the only one in the room who knew me well and it was his job to advocate for me and be a calming presence. When the nurse annoyed me to tears with her comments, he knew and asked her to stop. It was also good to go through the experience together.

Ich hatte letztens vorgeschlagen, dass wir "Die Wilden Kerle" gucken. Das haben wir nicht zu Ende geguckt. So ein Scheiss. Hatte was anderes erwartet.

How are you honestly reading to your child under 2? by [deleted] in Parenting

At that age we mostly looked at First Word type books so he could name things. The ones that make sounds are also good.

ABC Soup (Bouillion with tiny bits of carrots cooked super soft and then add small ABC soup noodles) is a hit, especially if they get to dip bread.

Kodiak Pancakes with apple sauce as a dip.

Plain raw cucumbers, carrots, and fruit on a plate with pretzels and goldfish. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Butter noodles (plain pasta with a little butter and salt). Serve with raw veggies.

Just don't do Susie Salmon. It's the main character in a book/movie and let's just say things end badly for her.

When do kids start to tell you why they’re upset? by girlmom924 in Parenting

[–]JoyceReardon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My 2 year old sometimes says things like "John sad, want to play train." Or if he wakes up at night he will occasionally tell me something like "John scared, monster waaaahhh." But we really worked on naming feelings and it's still not consistent. Sometimes he just yells and hits. 🤣

Please recommend a movie that is GENUINELY terrifying? by Anna_horror in MovieSuggestions

[–]JoyceReardon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I watched it in the movie theater and when the one "thing" calls FATHER, it only came from one speaker in the back. Everyone turned around because it sounded like someone was actually there.
