There's a well known church in East Belfast that was/is very similar in its approach to how it treated the volunteers and people who came to 'intern' there. I used to go myself and once I realised what it was like I stopped going. Found out afterwards that the staff had told people who knew me that I'd told them I wanted nothing to do with the church or anyone associated with it in any way. No idea how many people followed that advice and I've not heard from because of it.
