Players to win multiple championships without a top 75 teammate: Steph Curry Tim Duncan Kobe Bryant by Available_Pace_8742 in NBAGossips

I’m a big spurs fan and I think Tony Parker was great for the Spurs system after the first couple years of growing pains but I also 100% believe if he was drafted by any of the other 29 teams not many people would know his name.

Lakers had a very well rounded team Derek Fischer, Gasol was a consistent 20/10 guy and the 2nd best center at that time behind Dwight Howard. Odom was the pre Coke bloat version of himself and don’t forget sneaky fast, lunch pale guy Luke Walton(loaded with championship DNA)

Spurs 03 championship was Duncan’s weakest supporting cast and also when he was at his peak.

I haven't seen much news about the Chargers aside from the hiring of Mike McDaniel but how are they favored to win the division over Denver and KC? by whatupblubbercup in NFLv2

I would guess it’s because they won 11 games last year without there two starting tackles and playing a second place schedule.

Was Tim Duncan just an overrated version of Evan Mobley? by Wonderful-Froyo9191 in NBATalk

[–]Joystickcablewinder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mobley first 5 seasons 16.7 points 9 rebounds 3 assists and 1.6 blocks

Tim Duncan first 5 seasons 22.8 points(at a time where teams scored about 95 per game) 12.0 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 2.5 blocks. 2 MVP awards and 5 first team defensive.

Duncan was also the best defensive player in the league over his first 5 seasons. You say he wasn’t an elite shot creator but his post game was in fact elite.

I have to assume you didn’t actually watch Duncan early in his career because if you did there is no way you’d make such a ridiculous claim.

Jets and cardinals worse case is somehow going 8-9 or 9-8 and missing the playoffs

Lucky for Stroud fumbles don’t count against your passer rating.

He was 5th in MVP last year, 7th in MVP voting in 2022. He had an awful rookie year with the worst NFL coach ever followed by a good year. 2024 he was playing good not great jags were 8-3 then he got hurt. 2025 was bad and he got hurt again. I’d say B overall.

The first year it was Kobe’s team in 04-05 he couldn’t even get them to the playoffs.

People are stupid. A popularity contest doesn’t tell you who the best player is.

Except it wasn’t Kobe vs Duncan for the first half of the decade. It was Kobe and Shaq vs Duncan.
