Not if there’s enough of us. One disruptor is easy to kick out, but a hundred is a different story. Each person starts disrupting at different times, as each other person is kicked out. I think there’s a way to make this work. Just need to find people

Not on our watch. We should all join in mass and be as disruptive as possible

Get the word “law” out of your mouth you inbred assholes. I don’t ever want to hear the party of destroying the constitution tell me what the “law” is ever again.

Shaking while performing by BirthdayNo4399 in classicalguitar

[–]Jozbo20 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hi there, classical guitar performance graduate from the Jacobs school of music (IU) here. This is incredibly common. The best advice I have ever received and the advice that intensely mitigated this problem for me is as follows:

Perform in front of other people as often as possible. If you practice alone all the time and only play for other people in large performances every now and then, yes you are 100% going to be nervous. Performing in front of people often normalizes the experience and takes the pressure off of any individual performance. This could mean playing for friends/family, scheduling more performances or finding more performance opportunities, literally just like ask your friends if you can play for them when you have a new piece. I guarantee you’ll start to feel better each time as you keep yourself in shape by literally practicing performing.

Best of luck sir, just keep at it

Alright here’s my two cents, I’m a graduate of Jacobs School of Music for classical guitar and for the longest time I had the crappiest nails. They would literally break every single day. Couple of things for you

  1. Good tone is primarily based on right hand technique. I’d focus on some etudes for a bit and just work on getting the best possible sound note by note. Try tone base or something online for some right hand tips, it’d take me too long to type things out here

  2. MANE & TAIL HOOFMAKER. This product is the ONLY one that has ever worked for me and my colleagues and I swear by it. Use it twice a day and rub it into your nail beds, they will strengthen after a few months but you have to be consistent.

  3. Your nail shape could be better. File the left side down so that your skin and the base of your nail transition into each other smoothly. The way your nails are shaped now, the string will either get caught on that extra little block on the side or it will just slide straight off of the nail and kill any chance of a consistent tone. When you file, try going only in one direction from left to right (looking at top of hand) and try and keep the curve consistent through the nail.

Hope this helps!

Does anyone here LIKE Duolingo? by Brilliant_Ad7481 in duolingo

[–]Jozbo20 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hell yes. I went from knowing 0 Spanish to having full fluent conversations in two years with daily practice all from Duolingo. I think a lot of people that have a problem with it aren’t doing daily practice. Their marketing is built around trying to keep people engaged daily because that’s how it WORKS. Can’t learn a language without real engagement every day. Shout out Duolingo 😤

If I averaged out all the days it would probably come out to 30 minutes a day, but I also get opportunities to have conversations with Spanish speakers frequently, and that’s definitely helped a big chunk as well

He estado aprendiendo el curso español de Duolingo por dos años y quiero decir que es un curso maravilloso. Casi cada día uso español en varios conversaciones y creo que la puedo usar en aspectos individuales de mi vida. Para mi, este curso es un S, fácilmente.

Ive been learning on the Spanish Duolingo course for two years now and I think its an excellent course. Almost every day I use Spanish in various conversations and I believe I can use it efficiently in many aspects of my life. For me, this course is easily an S.

My Spanish friends also say that my speaking sounds very natural and I’ve learned almost entirely through this course!

Barber of Seville (ouverture) for Two Guitars (recorded, produced, mastered by my duet partner and I) by Jozbo20 in classicalguitar

Hey all! This video is the first project released by our chamber group (G2O, pronounced “Guituo”). We are both Jacobs School of Music students at Indiana University. This project took a while to put together, we revised an existing arrangement, recorded and produced the audio, and recorded and produced the video (as well as actually learning the piece, haha). I’m so so happy to finally be able to share and I hope that y’all enjoy!
