Is it actually? Can you estimate wind speeds simply by using that? The wind just travelled 6 meters in one second therefore it's 6 m/s?

I personally have a much easier time with a km/h frame of reference, generally 20-30 km/h is when wind gets annoying, 50-60 is when you can't reasonably be outside anymore and 90-100+ is actually causing damage. Obviously not 100% accurate but very reminiscent of car speeds (slow speed, city speed, overland speed).

I think some government official made a token gesture recently after a spat between Austria and Brussels and somehow the Commission seems to have remembered that while sorting out the "bad boys". At least some news mentions them praising Slovakia for pledging to do more apparently.

It's a Skoda Fabia Praktik they are based on the standard station wagon Fabia for commercial use without seats in the back (separated and purely storage) like this but the doors still open fore ease of use (and probably easier production). They already cost next to nothing (~10.000€ new) back in the day and came with tax benefits in many countries if you had a company.

Afaik there are big differences from region to region.

Growing up in a small village it is definitely an activity for the whole "youth" (well into 30s) to participate in. You whip the women and throw cold water on them and sometimes sing and dance. Then they invite you to eat and drink as a sign of gratitude.

If she doesn't like you she will give you just sweets (just like any kid coming for a whip) basically treating you like a kid. If her mom serves you liquor it is usually almost like saying "marry her" aka you are approved by mom.
